Investigating resonances from pentaquark perspective
We have investigated the ( or ) system to find
possible pentaquark explanations for the resonances. The bound state
calculation is carried out within the framework of the quark delocalization
color screening model. The scattering processes are also studied to examine the
possible resonance states. The current results indicate that the
can be interpreted as state with . Three
states are identified that match the , which are state with , state with , and state with . This may explain the
conflicting experimental values for the width of the . A new
resonance is predicted, whose mass and width are 2066--2079 MeV and 186--189
MeV, respectively. These results contribute to understanding the nature of the
resonances and to the future search for new resonances. Moreover,
it is meaningful to further investigate the resonances from an unquenched
picture on the basis of pentaquark investigation.Comment: 15 pages, 7 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with

A strategy for material characterisation of multi-wythe masonry Infrastructure: Preliminary study
The present work aims at providing insights on the material characterization of multi-wythe masonry infrastructure, in particular exploring a through-thickness effect of mechanical properties and benchmarking the core testing as an efficient slightly-destructive testing method. An experimental campaign was carried out to characterize shear, compressive and bond properties of a 1.2-m thick bridge's pillar constructed in 1882 in the city of Amsterdam (the Netherlands). Both cores and rectangular samples (e.g. prisms, triplets, couplets) were extracted across different locations in the wall thickness to evaluate the effect of exposure to environment conditions and to verify the capability of core testing methods. Results show that the masonry close to the water side (external) showed higher values of elastic modulus and lower values of flexural bond properties with respect to masonry inside the pillar. As for the capability of core testing on multi-wythe masonry, generally cores would present similar compressive/shear properties compared with rectangular samples. Besides, bond patterns and dimensions of cores showed negligible effect on compressive properties; However, this needs to be extensively verified by considering other masonry typologies. Overall, the study provides a first insight on the mechanical properties of multi-wythe masonry urban infrastructure and knowledge regarding the sampling and testing strategy for these structures. In turn, this will increase the knowledge on multi-wythe masonry, which is limited in literature, and will support the assessment of many infrastructure in typical Dutch canal cities by providing input for calculation methods.Structural Integrity & CompositesApplied Mechanic
Measurements of absolute branching fractions for Lambda(+)(c) -> Xi K-0(+) and Xi(1530)K-0(+)
Kolcu, Onur Buğra (Arel Author)We report the first measurements of absolute branching fractions for the W-exchange-only processes Lambda(+)(c) -> Xi K-0(+) and Lambda(+)(c)-> Xi(1530)K-0(+) with the double-tag technique, by analyzing an e(+)e(-) collision data sample, that corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 567 pb(-1) collected at a center-of-mass energy of 4.6 GeV by the BESIII detector. The branching fractions are measured to be B(Lambda(+)(c)-> Xi K-0(+)) = (5.90 +/- 0.86 +/- 0.39) x 10(-3) and B(Lambda(+)(c)-> Xi(1530)K-0(+)) = (5.02 +/- 0.99 +/- 0.31) x 10(-3), where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. Our results are more precise than the previous relative measurements. (c) 2018 The Author. Published by Elsevier B.V. Measurement of Cross Section for e(+)e(-) -> Xi(0)(Xi)over-bar(0) Near Threshol
Using e(+)e(-) collision data at ten center-of-mass energies between 2.644 and 3.080 GeV collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 500 pb(-1), we measure the cross sections and effective form factors for the process e(+)e(-) -> Xi(0)(Xi) over bar (0) utilizing a single-tag method. A fit to the cross section of e(+)e(-) -> Xi(0)(Xi) over bar (0) with a pQCD-driven power function is performed, from which no significant resonance or threshold enhancement is observed. In addition, the ratio of cross sections for the processes e(+)e(-) -> Xi(0)(Xi) over bar (0) and Xi(0)(Xi) over bar (0) is calculated using recent BESIII measurement and is found to be compatible with expectation from isospin symmetry. Analysis of the semileptonic transition of heavy Xi(Q) baryon to Xi baryon in Light Cone QCD Sum Rules
Azizi, Kazem (Dogus Author) -- Confrence full title: HS'13: the proceedings of the 7th Joint International Hadron Structure'13 Conference: Tatranská Štrba, High Tatra Mountains, Slovak Republic, 30 June-4 July 2013.This study presents the analysis of form factor calculations of semileptonic transitions of heavy baryons via light cone QCD sum rules. The work covers the semileptonic transitions of the Xi(b) and Xi(c) baryons. The form factors for the transitions Xi(b) -> Xi l(+)l(-) and Xi(c) -> Xi lv are obtained using their currents in the most general form. The obtained form factors are also used to calculate the decay widths and branching ratios of the considered transitions
Measurements of psi(3686) -> k-lambda(Xi)over-bar(+) + c.c. and psi(3686) -> gamma k-lambda(xi)over-bar(+) + c.c.
Çetin, Serkant Ali (Dogus Author)Using a sample of 1.06 x 10(8) psi(3686) events produced in e(+)e(-) collisions at root s = 3.686 GeV and collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we present studies of the decays psi(3686) -> K-Lambda(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c. and psi(3686) -> gamma K-Lambda(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c. We observe two hyperons, Xi(1690)(-) and Xi(1820)(-), in the K-Lambda invariant mass distribution in the decay psi(3686) -> K-Lambda(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c. with significances of 4.9 sigma and 6.2 sigma, respectively. The branching fractions of psi(3686) -> K-Lambda(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c., psi(3686) -> K-Sigma(0)(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c, psi(3686) -> gamma chi cJ -> gamma K-Lambda(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c (J = 0, 1, 2), and psi(3686) -> Xi(1690/1820)(-)(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c with sub-sequent decay Xi(1690/1820)(-) -> K-Lambda are measured for the first time
