This is an account of the activation of Headquarters of the Fifteenth Army, and a narration of the activities prior to overseas shipment. The actual history began after the Fifteenth Army arrived overseas, and is not covered in this short study.

Ellis, Jr., during the fall of 1945, with the vigorous support of the Chief of Training, Col. M.A. Quinto, and extended to reflect more adequately the development of airborne organization and tactics during the war, as viewed from the Center Headquarters.
