This collection comprises of images, reports, GIS and spreadsheet data from a test pitting at land parcels AC210 , Buckinghamshire. The work was undertaken by INFRA Archaeology as part of High Speed Two Ltd, between 2020-2021. The data collected from AC210 Blank Area Testing suggests there is no potential for Early prehistoric or Early medieval settlement to be present in the locations where the test pitting was undertaken, however trial trench evaluation or archaeological monitoring has been recommended to verify these results. This data could be used to aid the identification of and subsequent changes in industrial, agricultural, and settlement patterns throughout the area

This collection consists of images, spreadsheets, 3D models, a report, GIS and site record data from a construction integrated recording by Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd. Work occurred on Greatworth Well, Lower Greatworth, Thorpe Mandeville in Northamptonshire, from July 2023 and April 2024. Two deposits were identified within the well. The lower deposit was a wet silty clay, with stone inclusions, this deposit likely represented infilling of the well during and after its use. Overlying this deposit was fill. This was a deposit mostly formed of large loose stones, with some wet silty clay. A skeleton was discovered in the bottom section of this deposit. The skeleton was placed in a folded/crouched position and was likely deposited within the well before being covered by deliberate deposit

High Speed Two (HS2) brought an unprecedented opportunity to explore our past through the country's largest ever linear infrastructure project. The sheer scale of discoveries, the geographical span of the project and the vast range of our history unearthed makes HS2's historic environment programme a unique chance to tell the story of Britain's past. The HS2 programme is a generational opportunity for significant knowledge creation, for engagement with people and the creation of a lasting archival and skills legacy. These three concepts underpin the approach to the historic environment set out in the Historic Environment Research and Delivery Strategy (HERDS). The discoveries made along the route of HS2 help to tell the story of our nation. From the earliest prehistoric times, Roman and Medieval we can see how people shaped and changed their landscape. The changes in rural and urban living wrought by the industrial revolution can be charted as can our more recent history from the World Wars and the 20th century
