On ableism and anthropocentrism: A canine perspective on the workplace inclusion of disabled people
Despite growing attention for how disabled people become Othered in organizational settings and similar scholarly interest in the treatment of non-humans at work, no analysis so far has focused on the potential double marginalization that takes place when disabled people go to work with their service animal. In filling this void, this study draws attention to the embodied entanglement of 'humanimal' in a number of organizations where animals are unexpected. The study argues that the spatial, discursive and affective treatment of service dogs operates as a proxy for the in/exclusion of employees with mobility and visual impairments. This way, processes of ableism become masked as subtle and indirect performances towards non-human Others. Contributions are made towards several literatures by introducing the idea of a 'proxy' to help understand the different modes of peripheral inclusion of disabled employees via their legally accepted service animals, by bringing in the role of affect in workplace disablement, and finally by taking animal labour more seriously. The author received no financial support for the research, authorship and/or publication of this article.

Turning disability into a business: Disabled entrepreneurs' anomalous bodily capital
In a time and place where being impaired is equated to being of lesser economic value, some disabled people take matters into their own hands by creating their own job and converting their bodily difference into bodily capital. This paper uses a Bourdieuan lens to discover what sets apart disabled entrepreneurs who build their business around disability and those who do not. Building on the experiences of 40 entrepreneurs, we outline the existence of certain bodily and mental schemata that lead to a body habituated to run a business centred around one's impairment and experience of living as a disabled person in an ableist world. We specify such 'anomalous' bodily capital and discuss the constraints to its conversion related to the social environment and impairment effects. This study speaks back to the literature on disability in organizational contexts by extending the 'value in disability' debate whilst remaining cognizant of the danger of 'supercrip' stereotyping and disability ghettoization. In addition, the complex structure/agency interplay inherent to the practice of leveraging anomalous bodily capital offers a contribution to entrepreneurship research that tends to adhere to a simplistic view of the body. The author(s) received no financial support for the research, authorship, and/or publication of this article

"Making the unimaginable imaginable?" The power of artmaking in understanding animal vulnerabilities and "humanimal" relationality in Organization Studies
The vulnerabilities of nonhuman animals in human-animal relationships have received scant attention in Organization Studies (OS). What could OS scholars learn about animal vulnerability and "humanimal" relationality by turning to the context of artmaking, where sensate animals, human artists, spaces, materialities, artworks, affects and critical audiences come together? Building on feminist vulnerability literature and insight from posthumanist affirmative ethics, we here analyze Finnish artists Terike Haapoja and Laura Gustafsson's artmaking, works, and their exhibition Siat - Pigs in particular, where the agency and vulnerability of animals can be conceived in non-anthropocentric, immersive and affective ways. We contribute to OS research by demonstrating the affective power of posthumanist artmaking that comes with the radical repositioning of the human in relation to others, as well as political motivation to elicit empathy for the plight of animals in the factory-farming complex. Specifically, we show how these insights can illuminate what is currently not centered or discussed enough in OS, help us to better acknowledge co-constituted humanimal vulnerabilities, and extend discussions on empathy in OS to include (hyper-vulnerable) animals in the factory-farming complex. We contend that by extending vulnerability ascriptions to animals, caring with the unseen and silenced agents in society, acknowledging our shared vulnerability and by taking further action, we can gradually change the exploitive ways in which humans have treated other animals in our organized society, and more emphatically work for the well-being of the many unseen "others."The author(s) disclosed receipt of the following financial support for the research, authorship, and/or publication of this article: This research is funded by the Research Council of Finland for project PAWWS - People and Animal Wellbeing at Work and in Society (funding decision #355434)
Molecular and cellular studies on the 2-oxoglutarate-dependent oxygenase MINA53
Human 2-oxoglutarate (2OG) and iron-dependent oxygenases catalyse an emerging post-translational modification, hydroxylation, on a range of substrates including DNA, RNA and protein. Despite the well-recognised roles of 2OG oxygenases in oxygen sensing and epigenetic regulation of transcription, much work remains to be done to elucidate the roles of the less well-characterised family members in physiology and disease. Myc-induced nuclear antigen (MINA) is a 2OG oxygenase that catalyses histidyl hydroxylation of the large ribosomal subunit protein RPL27A. The paradoxical role of MINA in cancer, however, suggests the potential existence of additional substrates or functions. Here, we identify and explore a novel role of MINA in epithelial morphogenesis. We begin by characterising the physiological and pathological cues that contribute to the nucleolar retention and release of MINA. We then identify and characterise a novel activity-dependent and extra-nucleolar interaction between MINA and a membrane-associated guanylate kinase, membrane palmitoylated protein 6 (MPP6). Subsequent studies explored the role of MINA localisation, activity and MPP6 in epithelial morphogenesis. Overall, our findings suggest that extra-nucleolar MINA functions as a tumour suppressor, possibly through its interaction with MPP6. Moreover, the work presented in this thesis suggests a novel mechanism by which the tumour suppressor function of MINA may be broadly inactivated in cancer
Human trafficking in the hospitality industry: the staff’s awareness of sexual exploitation in the Netherlands
Human trafficking is a serious issue in the Netherlands. The hospitality industry is specifically identified as a vulnerable sector. Partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic it is expected that more people will become victim of sexual exploitation. Being aware of this problem is a critical factor in combatting it, yet the awareness from the people working in the hospitality industry has rarely been researched. Based on a review of the literature and by using a questionnaire, distributed among different lodging industries, this research aimed to explore the awareness and knowledge of the hospitality staff. A descriptive analysis presents that one third of the hospitality staff does not know exactly what sexual exploitation is, only around 6 percent had a training in recognizing sexual exploitation in the hospitality industry and almost half identify themselves as hardly or not familiar with the signs of it. Besides, there are many misperceptions about what sexual exploitation could look like. All gathered data indicates there is simultaneously limited knowledge and limited awareness about sexual exploitation and its signs in the hospitality industry. On this basis it is recommended that the government and the practitioners in the Netherlands invest more in training for the hospitality industry, making more people aware. Also, further research is needed to identify other factors that could strengthen the effectiveness of the awareness campaigns.

Types of container vessels can be broadly divided into two types, namely
full container and semi container vessels. In principle, all ships have a purpose to
maintain the safety of cargo and crew during the voyage. Especially in the case of
lashing the load during the voyage should be really taken care of. The existence of
problems in the process of lashing that is not appropriate procedures can endanger
the safety of shipping, because it is necessary to implement lashing properly and
solemnly to overcome the constraints in the lashing process. The procedure in
keeping the charge tight does not shift especially the deck charge and the system
is in the form of bonding to the load so as not to shift from its place.
The author uses descriptive qualitative research methods, namely by
retelling the events that occurred on the ship and conduct interviews directly to the
crew of MV. Eline Enterprise. The author describes all data obtained at the time
of carrying out the pre-sourced from the First Deck by way of interview.
Based on these interviews the process of lashing that is not appropriate
procedure occurs due to lack of accuracy and knowledge of the crew of the ship
against lashing procedures and limitations of lashing tools due to damage. Such
matter may endanger the safety of the vessel during the voyage, so it is necessary
to hold the implementation of the metting before carrying out the lashing and the
maintenance of lashing tools on a regular basis to maintain the quality of lashing
tools to be used properly. By conducting lashing according to the procedure that
includes preparation, execution, checking and supported by adequate lashing tools
and crew that understands in terms of lashing, it will be accomplished lashing
process smoothly and lashingnya strong, so as to create a safe and safe voyage to
the destination port.
