Dear Dr. Hanson:
Thank you for your letter bringing me up-to-date on your plans for October the fourteenth.
I have so many things on my calendar for May that I do not know how I can do anything more. I would like to attend the Spring meeting of the Board of Associates but would hesitate to suggest one date over another. I would prefer if you would set the date and I will try to be there if I can.

Response to a dinner invitation.Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
September 30, 1969
Dear President and Mrs. Hanson:
Much as I would like to be with you at the dinner you are giving for the Board of Trustees, I do not think I will be back from Baltimore where I expect to spend a couple of days with Dr. Milton and celebrate his father- in- law’s ninety- third birthday which has been an annual event.
I do appreciate your thought of me.
Warm best wishes,

Thank you response to invitation to dedication ceremony of the Eisenhower House.Augusta, Georgia
February 16, 1970
Dear President Hanson:
Thank you for your letter of the eleventh of February inviting me to attend the dedication ceremony of The Eisenhower House and the unveiling of the statue of my beloved husband.
I have marked October fourteenth down on my calendar and I will try to attend the ceremony. My schedule for this Fall has not yet been made definite, however I hope that nothing will happen so that I will be unable to be there.
I think it would be nice idea for Mr. Simpson to invite President Nixon as he is more closely related to the College than I am. I do not know the President’s schedule of course, however I am sure you will receive a response to your invitation.
With my best wishes,
Mamie Doud Eisenhower
