This report contains the details of post curing of Hansa-3 (VT- HNW) all composite airframe components providedbyC-CADD, carried out using an inhouse designed and fabricated large hot air oven (17mts x 2 .Omts x 2.Omts) . It details an optimum post cure cycle implemented, the temperature accuracy's, the various innovative approaches adapted to ensure the safety of the full scale components undergoing post cure in the oven .

Post curing and NDT support services for HANSA-3 Aircraft (coded-011) series productionisation program
With reference to the above, after receiving composite components from C-CADD, NDT was carried out using the instrument (Woodpecker-632) on the composite parts of the Hansa Aircraft. NDT was carried out as per standard procedure (Ref : NAL PD RP 9901 available with CQCM Hansa-3 project)
Comparative Evaluation of different Resin Batches used in HANSA-3 (old Vs-New Batches)
The properties of the resin system used as matrix for composites are important sin& the mechanical strength and fabrication processes of the components depend on these
prdpenies. Hence it was considered essential to monitor the properties of the resins during their storage for a long period of time. A number of resin batches were earlier received in mid 1994 for use in HANSA - 3 component fabrication. Subsiquently a new batch of LY 5052 resin and the corresponding HY 5052 hardener were obtained through HAL, as a replacement stock in Feb 96 which had to be used to complete the fabrication of HANSA-3 components after the properties were monitored. As per the HANSA -3 cornittee advice a comparative evaluation of those two batches (old & new) of resins was made

This report presents the Non Distructive Testing (NDT) of Hansa-3 aircraft components using Wood Pecker-632 instrument. NDT was carried out at M/S RPI Industry, bangalore. NDT was carried out before and after post cure for all the composite components of VT- HNW aircraft. The results obtained are within 25% of the standard reference Wood Pecker values
