Time Frequency Features of Rotor Systems with Slowly Varying Mass
With the analytic method and numerical method respectively, the asymptotic solutions and finite element model of rotor system with single slowly varying mass is obtained to investigate the time frequency features of such rotor system; furthermore, with given model of slowly varying mass, the rotor system with dual slowly varying mass is studied. For the first order approximate solution is used, there exists difference between the results with analytic method and numerical method. On the base of common characteristics of rotor system with dual slowly varying mass, the general rules and formula describing the frequency distribution of rotor system with multiple slowly varying mass are proposed

The calibration of sinusoidal excitation force of piezoelectric ceramic exciter
Piezoelectric ceramic exciter (PCE) have been used to experimentally study on the inherent and damping characteristics of thin-walled structures. However, due to its unknown excitation force level, it can not be applied on more practical cases in which accurate test of dynamic response is urgently needed. This research combines theory with experiment to calibrate sinusoidal excitation force generated by PCE. Firstly, a feedback attenuator was developed to help data acquisition instrument securely capture high-voltage excitation signal applied on PCE by high-voltage piezoelectric amplifier; Secondly, experimental research was conducted using a PCE, of type P-885.10 produced by PI in Germany, as object based on the PCE excitation feedback system to experimentally analyze its major influences on linear excitation capability, consequently a linear excitation equation was proposed to better regulate PCE to produce linear sinusoidal excitation signal; thirdly, a calibration method was proposed to exactly determine the level of sinusoidal excitation force of PCE based on the dynamics model of the cantilever beam excited by PCE, and its calibration principle and calibration process was explained in details. Finally, practicability and effectiveness of this calibration method was demonstrated by a calibration case. The results showed that if both of output signal voltage and excitation frequency meet the linear excitation equation, the concerned sinusoidal excitation force of PCE has a linear relationship with output signal voltage
Comparison of Non-linear Signals Analysis Methods
In modern engineering, linear is relative, while non-linear and non-stationary is absolute. There are many methods in non-linear signals processing. How to select a most suitable analysis method quickly for the nonlinear signal is particularly important, which can improve the signal processing efficiently. In this paper, three common analysis methods for nonlinear signals, Wavelet spectrum, Hilbert spectral analysis (HSA) and Poincaré mapping are researched and analyzed by some typical nonlinear signals from the complex electromechanical model test system. The effectiveness and application scopes of these approaches are obtained, which can provide a theoretical and practical basis for engineering application
Multi-body dynamic simulation and vibration transmission characteristics of dual-rotor system for aeroengine with rubbing coupling faults
In this paper, a dual-rotor system multi-body dynamic model with rubbing coupling faults is established for practical aero-engine. In the model, the rubbing fault simulation method is introduced, the coupling effect between the internal and external rotor is considered. The numerical simulations of rotor vibration are accomplished by the utilization of multi-body dynamic platform, where the simulation model consists of discs unbalances and local rub-impact between discs and casing shells. The time-domain responses, the frequency spectra and the shaft-center trajectories of dual-rotor with different unbalance and different rubbing positions are obtained. The vibration and its transmission characteristics of the inner and outer rotors are calculated. Finally, the simulation results are compared with the measured vibration of a dual rotor tester with rubbing fault. The simulation results are consistent with the measured results, which confirms the feasibility of the established model and the multi-body dynamics simulation method in this paper. The application of multi-body dynamics simulation method in aero-engine can deepen the understanding of the internal operation nature and laws of aero-engine, reduce the repetition of physical tests, greatly improve the efficiency and quality of development, accelerate the research and manufacture process
Parameter Sensitivity Analysis of Mounting Pedestals and Multi-Objective Optimization for a Multi-Support Rigid Body System
In this paper, a parameter sensitivity analysis of mounting pedestals and a multi-objective optimization design for vibration reduction in a multi-support rigid body system, taking an aeroengine-lubricating oil tank supported by multiple mounting pedestals as an example, are conducted based on the third version of non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-Ⅲ) combined with Sobol’s sensitivity analysis method (SSAM). An aeroengine-lubricating oil tank with three mounting pedestals is simplified as a three-support dynamic system, and its dynamics model is established. Several structural parameters of mounting pedestals are taken as the design variables, and the system vibration response and the reaction force of the front and rear mounting pedestals are considered as the objective functions. The first-order results and total sensitivity index of different design parameters for each objective function are obtained via SSAM, and the five most sensitive parameters are selected. Based on the above five design parameters, multi-objective optimization designing for vibration reduction in a simplified lubricating oil tank system is conducted based on NSGA-Ⅲ, and the results of the above triple-objective optimization are obtained as a Pareto-front surface with an obvious frontier. It can be observed from the simulation results that the oil tank vibration of the optimized system is effectively suppressed under the unbalanced excitation of two typical engine speeds. The established method and the main results can provide guidance for designers of aeroengine external structural systems, which can help to achieve superior system dynamic performances in engineering applications
Multiobjective optimization of hard coating parameters designing for damping of the bladed disk
In this paper, the damping capacity and the structural influence of the hard coating on the given bladed disk are optimized by the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) coupled with the Kriging surrogate model. Material and geometric parameters of the hard coating are taken as the design variables, and the loss factors, frequency variations and weight gain are considered as the objective functions. Results of the bi-objective optimization are obtained as curved line of Pareto front, and results of the triple-objective optimization are obtained as Pareto front surface with an obvious frontier. The results can give guidance to the designer, which can help to achieve more superior performance of hard coating in engineering application. </jats:p
