    Genus Zorochros Thompson 1859 Zorochros Thompson 1859, Skand. Col., 1: 106. Type species: Elater demustoides Herbst 1806, Käfer, 10: 85. (Europe), by original designation. Zorochrus [sic] Thompson 1864, Skand. Col., VI: 116. nom. emendation. Chibistrius Kishii 1976: 27, as a subgenus of Pronegastrius Ôhira 1963. Type species: Hypnoidus lewisi Schwarz 1907: 316, by original designation, synonymized by Ôhira 1988: 17 to Zorochrus [sic]. Diagnosis. Body moderately to greatly convex, 2–5mm long generally. Head flat between eyes, frontal carina distinct; second and third antennomeres sub-equal in general; fourth to tenth antennomeres feebly serrate or almost filiform. Pronotum subtrapezoid, surface entirely or partly rugose with granulate punctures. pleurosternal sutures double-lined broadly. Legs simple or emarginate in inner margins of femur and tibia. Distribution.
