Thomas Hallenbeck Interview
Thomas Hallenbeck was born on June 25, 1915, in Toledo. In this interview, he gave his memories of the Old West End and his childhood experiences there. He includes many anecdotes relating to life in Toledo in the earlier decades of the 1900s, such as horse and wagons delivering ice, arc lights, and electric cars. Mr. Hallenbeck also gave an account of the history of the Baker Brothers Corporation and other related industries such as the Libbey Glass Company. Mr. Hallenbeck died on October 24, 1996, in Toledo at the age of 81
