Dekonstruksi Tokoh Hasan El-Dahsan Dalam Cerpen Si Malang Karya Najib Mahfudz
The material object in this research is one of Najib Mahfudz's collection of stories with the title "Si Malang", which is taken from a story collection book entitled "Bisik Bintang", the formal object of which is deconstruction presented by Derrida. This article offers a new reading and meaning of the story of the character Hasan El-Dahshan. As a variety of literary sociology theory, Derrida's deconstruction has a theoretical category that rejects the establishment of all forms of logocentric structures understood by most people where there is only black and white or only right and wrong. Therefore, this theory tries to turn this around, so that it has a wider variety of colors and does not just focus on one point that is always considered correct by society. The research in this paper comes from the literature. The method used is deconstruction through three stages: the first stage is verbal reading, the second stage is textual reading, and the third is linguistic reading. The results of this research found a structure that was considered established and considered valid, which was then carried out by reversing the hierarchy by reviewing it again to see the form of instability of meaning through the multiplicity of characters in the short story, thus producing new meaning through the multiplication of identities, showing the destruction of the absoluteness of identities that are only understood as powerful, evil, powerful, and powerless in the story.
Stereotypes of Batak Culture In the Movie Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap(Van Dijk Critical Discourse Analysis)
This article aims to present the results of a critical discourse analysis of the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap by director Bene Dion Rajagukguk so that people who have views or stereotypes of the Batak tribe can understand and enjoy the meaning contained in the movie and the cultural aspects within it. The type and approach applied in the research is descriptive-qualitative. The data is analyzed through Teun A. Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis model, which discusses the dimensions of text, social cognition, and social context. The results of this study show that there are stereotypes attached to Batak culture. At the macrostructure stage, it discusses several themes of the Batak culture ban. At the superstructure stage, it is found that the scheme in the film discusses the story that begins with the opening board, conflict, and the final result in the form of Mr. Domu's choice to be happy with his family even though his children violate the stereotypes of Batak culture. In the micro stage, parents use prohibitive words to their children. In the cognition stage, Bene Dion Rajagukguk has a goal to eliminate Batak cultural stereotypes that have been imposed in society. Then, in the social context stage, it provides an understanding of the need for a harmonious understanding between parents and children to create a happy continuity
PERLAWANAN PEREMPUAN DALAM NOVEL ANA NAJUD IBNATU AL-ASYIRAH WA MUTALLAQAH: ANALISIS STRUKTURALISME GENETIK LUCIEN GOLDMANN
This article discusses the representation of patriarchy in the Arab World, especially Yemen. Various forms of violence, oppression, and discrimination against women and children are described in a literary work entitled Ana Najud Ibnatu Al-Asyirah wa Mutallaqah. The novel is also a form of criticism and resistance by the author against the patriarchal culture still strongly embedded in the social environment in which the author lives. The method used in data analysis is the dialectical method, namely the data contained in literary works will be connected to the data contained in the reality of society. This research uses the genetic structuralism approach coined by Lucien Goldmann, who studied literature from aspects of the author's social environment and society to facilitate analysis. The research results show that there is an equivalence (homology) between the structure of the work and the structure of Yemeni society at that time. This equality is found in the worldview of a particular collective subject that the author voices in his work. The views of resistance to patriarchy mentioned above represent the views of oppressed groups of women, especially underage women who experienced forced marriage (shighar) at that time
