H2 Energy Island near RDM
The project energy island is a collaboration between TU Delft and The Port of Rotterdam. One segment of the energy transition is the use of hydrogen in the port. Port of Rotterdam is active contributing with different companies to the energy transition. The Island is used as a bunker station for an inland ship. This Island, next to the RDM is a first small showcase to demonstrate that inland ships can be powered by hydrogen
Item 5 : RDM Workshop
The workshop focused on strengthening the library staff's competencies in Research Data Management (RDM)
The aim was to motivate the library staff to take ownership of skills development opportunities within this area of Open Science.
Library staff who attended this workshop can actively participate in a strengthened service of the researchers at their local institutions. To achieve this, the workshop introduced the research process based on the research project life cycle (RPLC) and gave perspective to a Research Data Life Cycle. This included an introduction to the FAIR principles and Data Management Plans (DMP). The workshop had a practical approach to RDM and therefore introduced two cases from, respectively the humanities and science, as examples of working with DMP in various disciplines. The teaching method of the workshop consisted of a mix of lectures and hands-on activities.
The workshop programme and learning objectives are in Danish, however the workshop material, presentations and further readings are in English.

Transformation of the former main office of the RDM
Research into the possibilities for transforming postwar office buildings. What opportunities and freedom can the designer afford. To what extent should the cultural value of the building and its surroundings take into account. This transformation is taken place at Heijplaat, a small garden city on the south bank of the Maas in Rotterdam. Every building is build for the purpose of the RDM (Rotterdamse Droogdok Maatschappij). The postwar office building, designed by E.F. Groosman, is no exception.Studio HeijplaatRMITArchitectur
Science Mapping and Visualization of Research Data Management (RDM): Bibliometric and Scientometric Study
Research Data Management (RDM) is an ever-evolving phenomenon focused to augment and manage the research capital of an organization, especially in context with developing countries. This study aims at to understand and highlight the state of art of RDM literature between 1989 and 2021 using Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database and VOSviewer software with a bibliometric or scientometric approach thereby highlighting the most influential authors, countries, journals, institutions, and to their co-authorship pattern, co- citation pattern, bibliographic coupling pattern, the co-occurrence of keywords pattern in the field of RDM.The data comprises of a total of 797 documents ,further analysed by using VOSviewer software. Visualization analysis reveales that the number of publications related to RDM are increasing year by year, reaching a peak in 2020. The most productive author in this field is Rafael Alexandrine-benavent and USA is the most productive country published on RDM. The Zeitschrift fur Bibliothekswesen und Bibliographie Journal ismost influential journal. The most frequently used keywords are data sharing, research data management, research data, science and metadata. The analysis shows collaboration relation between authors, countries and sources. The visualizations conducted on this topic offer exploratory information on current status and to identify the main trends in RDM research and its future research initiatives
Research Data Management (RDM) in agricultural research institutes: a literature review
This article presents a survey of literature on Research Data Management (RDM) with focus on agricultural research institutes. This is to help the understanding of core issues in RDM such as legal, policy and regulations; skills set and infrastructure in order to strategically position the agricultural sector in the knowledge economy and also help in reducing duplication of effort, promoting innovation, minimizing loss or destruction of research data sets and that ensuring compliance with funders’ requirements. The author argues that while RDM has been widely embraced in developed countries Africa is lacking behind. The literature reviewed in this article seem to suggest that legal, policy and regulatory framework in agricultural research sectors are either nonexistent or outdated. This is exacerbated by inadequate technical infrastructure, human resources capacity, and paucity of national or international partnerships. As a result, research data setswithin agricultural institutes are poorly managed. The establishment of a legislative and policy framework for RDM; capacity building programs, and improvement of technical infrastructure are highly recommended. Keywords: Research Data Management, data curation, research data, agricultural research institutes, Keny

Flex Office RDM
In this project I did research to realise a deep office building. Also I try to introduce an new type office building, off course compete in squared meters with office buildings in the market now. For the Engineering part I did research in highrise building methods. Finally I realise a building method that's independent of weather and huge construction equipment. Only the basement and the ground level is needed to built the office building. The building is rising up into the sky!Architectural EngineeringArchitectureArchitectur
Cultural obstacles to research data management and sharing at TU Delft
Research data management (RDM) is increasingly important in scholarship. Many researchers are, however, unaware of the benefits of good RDM and unsure about the practical steps they can take to improve their RDM practices. Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) addresses this cultural barrier by appointing Data Stewards at every faculty. By providing expert advice and increasing awareness, the Data Stewardship project focuses on incremental improvements in current data and software management and sharing practices. This cultural change is accelerated by the Data Champions who share best practices in data management with their peers. The Data Stewards and Data Champions build a community that allows a discipline-specific approach to RDM. Nevertheless, cultural change also requires appropriate rewards and incentives. While local initiatives are important, and we discuss several examples in this paper, systemic changes to the academic rewards system are needed. This will require collaborative efforts of a broad coalition of stakeholders and we will mention several such initiatives. This article demonstrates that community building is essential in changing the code and data management culture at TU Delft.Management SupportManagement SupportResearch Data and SoftwareTU Delft Librar
