Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. HASYIM. Analisis Kinerja Persatuan Renang Seluruh Indonesia Sulawesi Selatan (dibimbing oleh Dr. H. Andi Suyuti, M.Pd dan Dr. Hikmad Hakim, M.Kes).
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; hasil Analisis Kinerja Persatuan Renang Seluruh Indonesia Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif. Populasinya adalah Pengurus Perstuan Renang Seluruh Indonesia Sulawesi Selatan berjumlah 50 orang sampel. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis frekuensi untuk mengetahui kategori pernyataan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Kinerja Persatuan Renang Seluruh Indonesia Sulawesi Selatan dalam kategori baik atau diperoleh nilai persentase sebesar 42,0%. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil pengujian analisis deskriptif frekuensi dari 50 jumlah responden yang menyatakan kategori baik berjumlah 21 responden menyatakan pada interval kategori baik dengan jumlah persentase sebesar 42,0%, dengan dasar analisis deskriptif frekuensi peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa Kinerja pengurus provinsi PRSI Sulawesi Selatan dalam kategori baik.

The study aims at examining the performance of Swimming Association of Indonesia in South Sulawesi. The study is a descriptive research. The population is the boards of Swimming Association of Indonesia in South Sulawesi with as many as 50 samples. Data were analyzed by employing descriptive analysis and frequency analysis to discover statement category.
The result of the study reveals that performance of Swimming Association of Indonesia in South Sulawesi is in good category which obtains 42,0%, proved by the result of descriptive frequency analysis that 21 out of 50 respondents stated as good category with the percentage of 42.0%. Thus, the conclusion of the study is the performance of boards of Swimming Association of Indonesia in South Sulawesi is in category

Full text linkThis research was a field research. This study emphasized the implications in determining the age of marriage in Article 7 of Act No. 1 of 1974 concerning marriage. This study examined the causes of minimum marriage age and the impact. The nature of this research was qualitative, which examined the sources obtained in field studies. This study was focused to examine the minimum age of marriage in Majene Regency. The analysis used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study indicated that the cause of marriage age in Majene Regency is the role of parents, low educational level, culture, economy and environment. The implications of determining the minimum age for marriage have a negative impact on the biological and psychological aspects and have a broader chance for children to drop out of school.Keywords: Implication-Minimum Marriage Age-Mejene District.Â

Perspektif Metodologis Mengenai Puncak Capaian Sufistik
No full textKajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis puncak capaian seorang sufi dalam pengalaman spritualnya berdasarkan fase-fase yang telah dilalui beserta metodenya, sekaligus menganalisis secara kritis praktik upaya capaian sufistik klasik yang direalisasikan di era modern. Kajian ini sangat penting sebagai gambaran relevansi metode klasik di era modern. Kajin ini menemukan bahwa fase-fase atau maqamat sufistik diantaranya: taubat, zuhd, kefakiran, sabar, tawakkal, dan kerelaan. Maqamat terakhir kemudian akan muncul mahabbah atau ma’rifat tergantung dari pengalaman sufi, dan cara sufi menjelaskan pengalaman sufistiknya. Ada tiga metode pencapaian sufistik, secara berurut, yaitu takhalli, tahalli, dan tajalli. Puncak fase yang pernah dicapai oleh para sufi di antaranya: mahabbah, ma’rifah, ittihad, dan al-hulul. Hidup zuhd di era modrn dapat dilakukan dalam kondisi yang ramai, seseorang bisa menyempurnakan akhlak dan kebahagiaan dengan cara mengembangkan sifat-sifat terpuji seperti yang diajarkan oleh agama.
