An interview with Monika White as she discusses her entrance into social work; YWCA; various positions held; work with Regional Research Institute in Social Welfare; doctoral program; Multi-Purpose Senior Services Program; case management; and preparing for old age. ❧ Dr. Monika White earned both her Masters and a Doctorate of Social Work at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She has extensive experience as an educator, researcher, consultant and administrator. Since the mid-1970's, Dr. White concentrated her work on coordinating health and community-based service delivery systems for older adults and their families. A nationally-recognized author and lecturer in the aging field, Dr. White is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Healthy Aging in Santa Monica, California, and an adjunct professor at the USC Davis School of Gerontology in Los Angeles. Lucie Durdilová ANNOTATION: The aim of the theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis is to describe basic concepts related to the prevention of speech impediments, by using current literature, existing knowledge and research, characterize the most common forms of comminication disorder that usually occur in preschool children and inform about ways of how to prevent speech disorders, mainly primary ones (How can parents prevent the occurrence of speech defects among their children from an earliest possible age). Awareness of parents of the possibilities to prevent speech defects, of child's speech development and of thequality of related literature, will be determinated by a questionnare, this means a quantitative research method. Questionnare will be focused on parents with children between 3-4 years old

No full textCEL NAUKOWY: Celem niniejszego artykułu jest wykazanie, iż z racji narastającego kryzysu roli i miejsca ojca w rodzinie zostaje zachwiany proces wychowawczy, co powoduje osłabienie podstawowej komórki społecznej, jaką jest rodzina.
PROBLEM I METODY BADAWCZE: Problemem badawczym jest historyczno‑fenomenologiczna analiza rozwoju paternalizmu oraz jej doniosłości społecznej. Na tej też podstawie będzie później formułowana ocena obecnego status quo zagadnienia. W pracy zostanie zastosowana metoda analizy krytycznej tekstu i synteza wniosków oraz analiza historyczna i fenomenologiczna pojęć.
PROCES WYWODU: Realizacja przedstawionego celu badawczego rozpocznie się od rozważenia etymologii ojcostwa oraz określenia roli ojca w rodzinie i społeczeństwie w starożytności. Następnie przedstawiony zostanie opis funkcjonowania współczesnej rodziny wraz z przyczynami kryzysu ojcostwa, by w ostatnim etapie przejść do konkluzji wypływających z przeprowadzonego namysłu.
WYNIKI ANALIZY NAUKOWEJ: Z przeprowadzonej analizy kryzysu ojcostwa dzisiaj wyraźnie wynika, iż zdecydowanie odeszliśmy od normalnej, wiekowej i normatywnej struktury rodziny, doprowadzając do jej osłabienia i zachwiania procesów wychowawczych.
WNIOSKI, INNOWACJE, REKOMENDACJE: Pomimo iż współczesny kryzys ojcostwa, i wtórnie również rodziny, ma kompleksowy charakter przyczynowy, to jednak wydaje się, że wiodącymi prym są ideologia liberalizmu i pragmatyzmu wraz z niekorzystnymi zmianami kulturowymi. Biorąc pod uwagę nieodwracalne zmiany społeczno-kulturowe, należałoby poszukiwać powrotu do mądrego zbilansowania roli matki i ojca w rodzinie

No full textPretpostavimo da je kreativnost rezultat unutarnjeg dijaloga kreativnog pojedinca (autora) iz kojega nastaje nova informacija. No kako onda razumjeti kreativnost danas, kada je naša individualna svijest proširena elektronskim medijima i telemetrijski uključena u “globalni mozak”? Sveprisutnost informacijske i komunikacijske tehnologije omogućuje nam da stvaramo nove informacije brže negoli ikad prije i pohranjujemo ih u forme umjetne memorije, u koje može svatko ući. S obzirom na to čini se da je pojam autorstva prevladan, a unutarnji dijalog zamijenjen intersubjektivnim dijalogom. Držeći se teorije medija Viléma Flussera i Marshalla McLuhana, problematiziram novu paradigmu kreativnosti kakva se razvija u dobu informacijske tehnologije.If we assume that creativity is a result of the inner dialogue of creative individual (author), during which he creates an improbable combination of elements (i.e. new information), how can we comprehend creativity today, after we technologically extended our individual consciousness and connected it into a “global brain” via telematics? Prevalence of information and communications technology enables us to create more new information than ever, and allows us to store it in artificial memory, where it could be reused by almost anyone. In the age of ICT, author seems to be superfluous and the inner dialogue has been replaced by interpersonal dialogue. Taken into consideration Vilém Flusser’s and Marshall McLuhan’s theory of media, I will try to problematize new paradigm of creativity, as it is disclosing in information society

PROBLEM I METODY BADAWCZE: Głównym problemem badawczym będzie próba odpowiedzi na pytanie, jakie koncepcje edukacji są formułowane w trakcie dyskursu politycznego oraz w jakich wzajemnych relacjach pozostają? Dla prawidłowego przeprowadzenia badań zostanie zastosowana metoda badawcza, jaką jest analiza porównawcza oraz analiza dyskursu.
PROCES WYWODU: W pierwszej części opracowania zostaną ukazane przesłanki do podjęcia kwerendy nad dyskursem politycznym wokół problemów edukacji we współczesnej Polsce, by w dalszej części przedstawić planowany przebieg badań wraz z podstawami teoretycznymi i dotychczasowym stanem wiedzy na wybrany temat.
WYNIKI ANALIZY NAUKOWEJ: Z dotychczasowej analizy naukowej jasno wynika, że na temat języka współczesnej polityki opublikowano dotychczas niewiele prac. Badany temat, jak dotąd, nie został poddany rzetelnej naukowej refleksji, choć jest bardzo ważny z punktu widzenia rywalizacji na polskiej scenie politycznej.
WNIOSKI, INNOWACJE, REKOMENDACJE: Niniejszy artykuł jest przyczynkiem do podjęcia pogłębionych badań nad analizą dyskursu w kontekście problemów edukacji we współczesnej Polsce. Materiału do badań dostarcza nieustający cykl zdarzeń na arenie politycznej, której wnikliwa obserwacja i analiza zachowań uczestników dyskursu stanie się źródłem inspiracji badawczych zarówno w obszarze zainteresowań językoznawczych, jak i politologicznych.RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The main objective of the article is to outline the analyses of political discourse devoted to the problems in education in contemporary Poland.
THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: The main research problem is an attempt to answer the question: What concepts of education are formulated in Polish political discourse and what are their mutual relations? The study is conducted using the research methods of comparative analysis and discourse analysis.
THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The first part of the article presents the rationale for researching political discourse devoted to problems in education in contemporary Poland, while the second part describes the plan of the future in-depth study, the theoretical foundations and the current state of knowledge on the analysed issue.
RESEARCH RESULTS: The analysis of the existing subject literature reveals that so far the language of contemporary politics has been analysed in very few publications. Although this issue is particularly important from the perspective of the rivalry on the Polish political scene, it has not been subjected to an in-depth scientific reflection yet.
CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: The article is an introduction to a further in-depth study on discourse analysis in the context of problems in education in contemporary Poland. The material for the study is provided by the events continuously taking place on the political arena, whose careful observation together with the analyses of the behaviour of discourse participants are a source of research inspiration in the field of linguistics and political science alike

No full textMonika Świerkosz writes of the play The Triumph of the Will by Monika Strzępka, based on a script by Paweł Demirski (Stary Theatre in Krakow, premiere: 31.12.2016). The author compares the performance with the duo’s previous works. She analyzes the various characters, passengers of an airplane that has crashed on a desert island. The survivors break into groups: some of them tell optimistic stories, trying to shake up those who are plunged in sadness. Świerkosz believes that the artists are putting forward a vision of the political based on an "instinctive emotional ethic of compassion." She praises the production for its humor and energy
