Griffith details his experience of providing legal assistance including examining tax laws, contracts, procurement and agreements between different research labs/units/departments on campus and outside UW Madison. Griffith talks about how 9/11 brought changes to security protocols on campus and how Covid 19 also changed the work culture of legal practice. Finally, Griffith sheds light on the relationship between UW Madison and the University of Wisconsin System and the legal implications of autonomy of UW Madison within the System. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Archives and Records Management Oral History program as part of the Academic Staff Award Winners Oral History Project
