American artist Jay Greig
Jay Greig was born in Carson City, Nevada in 1980. He is noted graphite pencil artist, who’s drawings have been widely published and have won a number of awards in numerous national and international juried shows.
As a graphite pencil artist, his goal is to achieve a photographic level of realism in his subjects, one that makes viewers gasp at the fact that they are looking at a drawing, not in fact a photograph.
This hyperrealist artist works with this medium using different materials, from coloured pencils, to graphite or charcoal. In most cases, he uses the trusty pencil and paper to get his desired results.
American artist Jay Greig is a master at capturing dark moods and human emotions in the smallest detail. The skill of his pencil is outstanding, whether he is rendering the wrinkles of an elderly man or the tears of a young woman, he achieves transcendence.
Jay Greig is a highly skilled pencil artist, one specialising in graphite realism drawing. His favourite subjects are very often animals, as opposed to humans. The way he manages to sketch the fur of a lion or the pose of a domestic cat, is truly commendable.
He uses solely pencil and paper to get his desired effect. When you gaze fully at his fabulous creations, it is hard to comprehend that the only art instruction that he received was from a drawing instruction manual.
American artist Jay Greig focuses his attention on pencil vehicular portraits. He started to draw cars at the age of 6, and by the time he reached his teenage years he was already drawing his own inventions. He is particularly good at illustrating the reflections that come off metal subjects. He is also master at capturing dark moods and human emotions in the smallest detail. The skill of his pencil is outstanding, whether he is rendering the wrinkles of an elderly man or the tears of a young woman, he achieves transcendence.
Much of Jay Greig's work is centred on drawing studies and portrait illustration, with an emphasis on a photorealist style. Focusing on a three-dimensional approach her pieces are full of intimacy and longing, exploring the often tentative relationships humans have with each other

A Greig Syndrome Case Diagnosed In One Of The Singleton Of Twin Preterm Who Were Obtained By Assisted Reproduction
Greig cephalopolysyndactyly is a rare multiple congenital anomaly characterized by clinical triad of polysyndactyly, macrocephalia and hypertelorism. In general, although it is characterized with autosomal dominant inheritance, there is also autosomal recessive inheritance pattern. Here, we aimed to discuss an infant who was born from multiple gestations arising from assisted reproduc-tion techniques and suspected to be Greig syndrome with no familial history. Best of our knowl-edge this is the first case related with assisted reproduction technique
A Rare Prenatal Case: Greig Cephalopolysyndactyly Syndrome
Greig cephalopolysyndactyly syndrome (GCPS) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by macrocephaly, prominent forehead, hypertelorism, preaxial and/or postaxial polydactyly, and cutaneous syndactyly. Mutations that cause haploinsufficiency in the zinc finger protein family member 3 (GLI3) gene, which is located on the short (p) arm p14 region of chromosome 7 (Chr.7), have been associated with this syndrome. Here, a case of prenatal GCPS with haploinsufficiency of the GLI3 gene is presented. A 32-year-old woman, in her 21st week of the first pregnancy, was referred to our center for cytogenetic analysis of amniotic fluid because of the detection of polyhydramnios, polydactyly, aortic stenosis, and the absence of vesica biliaris visualization on fetal ultrasound. Chromosome analysis was terminated with an interstitial short arm (p12-p15.1) deletion of chromosome 7 consisting of the GLI3 gene region (7p14). The presence of the short arm terminal region of the relevant chromosome was confirmed by fluorescence in situ hybridization analysis. Array comparative genomic hybridization technique verified the breakpoint regions and revealed a 17.4 Mb deletion covering the GLI3 gene. To date, reported prenatal cases with GCPS syndrome are very rare. Here we present a case of GCPS syndrome diagnosed in the prenatal period due to a de novo unbalanced chromosomal rearrangement
Dataset supporting an article "Evaluation of a spring-finger based, magnetic connector concept for reliable E-textile interconnects"
The data supports a publication of "Evaluation of a spring-finger based, magnetic connector concept for reliable E-textile interconnects", by T. Greig, K. Yang and R. Torah, in IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology, 2022, doi: 10.1109/TCPMT.2022.3209591.
The data folder contains csv files holding the time / voltage data from
the experiment described in above article.
In those files, a voltage of 0V means that a connection was being made,
1V means it wasn't. Anything in between means it's probably coming or going. It also has connector reliability data for the article and a script for the graphing thereof.</span
Dataset supporting the publication ‘A comparative evaluation of equivalent circuit and finite element electrical skin modelling techniques’
This dataset is supporting the publication ‘A comparative evaluation of equivalent circuit and finite element electrical skin modelling techniques’, by T Greig, K Yang, R Torah; in Journal: Biomedical physics and engineering express.
DOI: https://doi.org/10.1088/2057-1976/acfb04
The data includes csv files containing real and simulated skin impedance data and a few R scripts for analysing and plotting it.
R scripts tested with R 4.2.2, but should be pretty relaxed about what version you're using. Comsol models created with comsol 5.5.0.359 and require using this particular version to work on.</span
Autistic symptoms in Greig cephalopolysyndactyly syndrome: a family case report
Abstract Background Greig cephalopolysyndactyly syndrome is a rare multiple congenital anomaly syndrome characterized by the triad of polysyndactyly (preaxial or mixed preaxial and postaxial), macrocephaly, and ocular hypertelorism. Little is known about the neuropsychological phenotype and the developmental features of this syndrome. Case presentation We describe the clinical features of a 7-year-old Italian white boy affected by Greig cephalopolysyndactyly syndrome in comorbidity with autism spectrum disorder and the case of his 45-year-old white father, carrying the same point deletion (c.3677del) in the GLI3 gene and showing subclinical autistic symptoms. We performed a neuropsychiatric assessment of cognitive, adaptive, socio-communicative, and behavioral skills of the child. Concurrently, the father underwent his first psychiatric evaluation of cognitive skills and autistic symptoms. Conclusions We report the first clinical description of an association between autistic symptoms and Greig cephalopolysyndactyly syndrome in two members of the same family with the same genetic point deletion. Further research is required in order to draw an accurate conclusion regarding the association between Greig cephalopolysyndactyly syndrome and autism

Warship machinery constraints
The design of warship machinery is complex because unlike most merchant ships warships do not have a unique operating profile, while designed to meet specific wartime roles, they spend the vast majority of their lives performing a wide range of different tasks. As a consequence the propulsion plant must be able to operate efficiently and effectively over a wide range of speeds. This chapter describes some of the constraints encountered when designing the main machinery components of a typical surface warship and introduces the concept of Integrated Full Electric Propulsion. A second major difference between merchant ships and warships is that the latter are designed to absorb deliberate damage and still function. A brief account of some of the threats a warship is exposed to and their associated damage mechanism is followed by an analysis of various design approaches that can mitigate these threats to ensure a warship with a high survivability
