Vocational Education for Students in the Work-based Conditions of Woodworking in Latvia
Maģistra darba, kura tematika ir darba vidē balstīta profesionālā izglītība un tās īstenošanas process, autors Izglītības vadības maģistrs Viktors Kaugija. Maģistra darba būtība un mērķis ir izprast reālo situāciju praksē, kas saistās ar profesionālo izglītību darba vidē balstītos apstākļos, definēt un analizēt iespējamās problēmas darba vidē balstītās mācībās un balstoties uz iespējamo problēmu kopumu, sniegt rekomendācijas darba vidē balstītu mācību efektivitātes paaugstināšanai. Teorētiskās informācijas avotu izpētē tika izmatoti dažādi literatūras un citu informācijas avotu resursi. Teorētisko avotu izpēte daļēji pierāda reālo situāciju šīs nozares/jomas atzarā, taču savā starpā korelējot praktiskām zināšanām un darba autora sastādītu aptauju datu informācijai ar teorētisko informācijas bāzi, ir iespējams definēt objektīvu secinājumu un priekšlikumu jeb rekomendāciju kopumu.The author of the Master’s Thesis is Viktors Kaugija, Master of Education Management. The topic of the Thesis is work-based vocational education and its implementation process. The goal and the essence of the Master’s Thesis is to understand the actual situation related to vocational education in work-based learning in real life setting, to define and analyse its possible problems and, based on a set of these problems, to provide recommendations for increasing the efficiency of work-based vocational education. Various sources of literature and other information were used in the theoretical part of the research. The theoretical research partially proves the real-life situation in this branch/field, but by correlating the practical knowledge and survey data obtained by the author with the theoretical information base, it is possible to define objective conclusions and a set of suggestions or recommendations
Human factor in the railway sector in relationship with accidents at work
“Cilvēka faktors dzelzceļa transporta nozarē saistībā ar nelaimes gadījumiem darbā”. Darba autors: Viktors Kislovs. Darba vadītājs: asoc. prof. Dr. sc. admin. Henrijs Kaļķis. Darbs izklāstīts uz 76 lpp., ietver 29 attēlus, 18 tabulas, 10 pielikumus un 45 informatīvos avotus. Maģistra darbs sastāv no 4 daļām. Pirmajā daļā veikta literatūras analīze par dzelzceļa transporta nozari kopumā, par atslēdznieku profesijā sastopamajiem darba vides riskiem, kā arī par cilvēka faktoru darbā. Otrajā daļā apskatītas pētījumā izmantotās metodes. Trešajā daļā apkopoti strādājošo aptaujas analīzes rezultāti, darba vides riska faktoru novērtēšanas rezultāti, ar FMEA, KLA metodēm iegūtie rezultāti, kā arī rezultāti, kas iegūti ar cilvēka faktora ietekmes un pārējo iesaistīto atbildības daļas noteikšanas metodiku. Ceturtajā daļā izstrādāti preventīvie un aizsardzības pasākumi, kas ietver aizsardzības līdzekļu, aprīkojuma un instrumentu izvēli, kas mazinās darba vides riska faktoru ietekmi. Apkopoti ieteikumi cilvēka faktora ietekmes mazināšanai. Rezultātos iegūts, ka pilnveidojot tehnoloģisko procesu iespējams ne tikai uzlabot produkcijas kvalitāti, bet arī samazināt kļūdu un nelaimes gadījumu skaitu. Secināts, ka cilvēka kļūdas pilnībā nav iespējams novērt, bet ir iespējams, noteikt to rašanās biežumu, cēloņus un sekas.“Human factor in the railway sector in relationship with accidents at work ”. Author: Viktors Kislovs. Supervisor: assoc. prof. D. Sc. (Admin.) Henrijs Kaļķis. Thesis are presented on 76 pages, have 29 illustrations, 18 tables, 10 appendixes and 45 information sources. Master's Thesis consists of four parts. The first part is analysis of literature about railway transportation sector as a whole and about workplace environment risks present in mechanics profession as well as human factor at work. The second part discusses the methods used in the study. In the third part results of workers survey analysis, results of work environment risk factor assessment, results of FMEA and FTA, as well as results acquired with methodology for determining the impact of the human factor and the other participating responsibility share are summarized. In the fourth part preventive and protective measures are developed, including selection of protective equipment, utilities and tools that will lessen the impact of work environment risks. Suggestions for lessening of the impact of human factor are summarized. Results show that with improving technological process its possible not only to make production quality better, but also to reduce the number of errors and accidents. Author concludes that its impossible to prevent all the human errors, but it is possible to determine frequency of occurrence, causes and consequences of these errors
The use of woodwork in a preschool educational institution for the development of practical skills for children aged 5 to 6 years
Kvalifikācijas darbs izstrādāts par tēmu “Kokmateriālu izmantošana pirmsskolas izglītības iestādē praktisko prasmju attīstīšanai 5–6 gadu veciem bērniem” Kvalifikācijas darba autors: Viktors Dunaiskis Pētījuma mērķis: izpētīt 5 līdz 6 gadus vecu bērnu praktisko prasmju attīstību, izmantojot kokmateriālus. Pētījuma jautājums: kādi nosacījumi jāievēro, lai attīstītu praktiskās prasmes pirmsskolas izglītības iestādē, izmantojot kokmateriālus. Pētījumā izmantotas metodes: literatūras analīze, pedagoģiskā novērošana, pedagoģiski praktiskā darbība, bērnu darbības analīze. Pētījums: pētījuma ietvaros analizēta literatūra un iegūti secinājumi, kas nepieciešami, lai attīstītu praktiskās prasmes, kas jāņem vērā, plānojot un realizējot mācību saturu. Ar anketēšanas un intervijas metodi iegūta informācija par respondentu pieredzi darbarīku un kokmateriālu izmantošanā. Veicot pedagoģisko novērošanu, atlasīti un izveidoti kritēriji praktisko prasmju līmeņa noteikšanai, izveidoti un īstenoti uzdevumi praktisko prasmju attīstīšanai, izmantojot kokmateriālus. Analizēta paveikto uzdevumu ietekme uz praktisko prasmju attīstību. Kvalifikācijas darbs izstrādāts uz 65 lapām, iekļauti 23 attēli, 5 tabulas, 36 izmantotie literatūras avoti, 10 pielikumi.The qualification work is developed on the topic “The use of woodwork in a preschool educational institution for the development of practical skills for children aged 5 to 6 years” Author of the qualification work: Viktors Dunaiskis The purpose of the study: to investigate the development of practical skills of 5 to 6-year-old children using wood materials. Research question: what conditions should be met in order to develop practical skills in a preschool educational institution using wood. Methods used in the research: literature analysis, pedagogical observation, pedagogical practical activity, analysis of children's activities. Research: within the framework of the study, literature was analysed and conclusions where obtained conclusions, which are necessary to develop practical skills that must be taken into account when planning and implementing the teaching content, information about respondents' experience in using tools and timber was obtained by the questionnaire and interview method. During pedagogical observation, criteria for determining the level of practical skills were selected and created, tasks for developing practical skills using timber were created and implemented. The effect of completed tasks on the development of practical skills is analysed. Among the most representative singlesolution metaheuristics, we selected Tabu Search Algorithm (TSA), to compare with a novelpopulation-based metaheuristic: Cuckoo Search Algorithm (CSA). Empirical results reveal thatthe problem solving success of the TSA was better than the CSA. However, the run-timecomplexity for acquiring global minimizer by the Cuckoo Search was generally smaller than theTabu Search. Besides, the hybrid TSA-Simplex Algorithm gave superior results in term ofefficiency and run-time complexity compared to CSA or TSA tested alone

Pētījums sastāv no 5 daļām. Pirmajā daļā ir apkopota un analizēta literatūra par darba vides un vides riskiem dzelzceļa signalizācijas būvdarbos. Otrajā daļā - pētījumā lietotās metodes. Trešajā - iegūto datu apkopošana un rezultātu analīze. Ceturtajā - vadlīnijas darba vides risku novēršanā. Noslēgumā secinājumi un praktiskas rekomendācijas. Iegūtie pētījuma rezultāti ļauj secināt, ka nodarbinātie ir pakļauti pieņemamam riskam (II riska pakāpe). Izstrādāti preventīvie pasākumi. Izmantotās metodes: strādājošo aptauja un intervijas, Somijas 5 baļļu metode vispārīgo risku novērtēšanai, Austrijas metode ķīmisko risku novērtēšanai, SGR-A metode darba smaguma pakāpes noteikšanai, ĀEK metode atsevišķu muskuļu un skeleta sistēmas daļu noslodzes noteikšanai, NIOSH metode rekomendējamā paceļamās masas limita noteikšanai, psiholoģiskā klimata darba vidē novērtēšanas metode, darbspēju indeksa noteikšanas metode, darba vides un darba aizsardzības sistēmas audits objektā.The master thesis is devoted to the topic of “Occupational and environmental risks during construction works associated with railway signaling, communication and electric power supply systems. Risk prevention guidelines”. The length of the master thesis is 76 pages; it has 21 figures, 10 tables, 6 appendices, and list of references that includes 47 entries. The master thesis is drawn in Latvian.
The paper consists of five chapters. Chapter 1 contains the analysis of theoretical studies dedicated to the working environment risks and environmental risks associated with railway signaling works. Second chapter is devoted to the research methods used within the master thesis. In the third chapter, the author collects data and analyses the obtained results. Fourth chapter offers the guidelines workplace risk prevention. In the final chapter, the author makes relevant conclusions and puts forward practical recommendations. The obtained research results suggest that employees are exposed to acceptable risk (risk level II). The author develops preventive guidelines. Research methods used: workers' survey and interviews, Finland 5-point general risk assessment, the Austrian method of chemicals assessment, Key indicator method for determining the severity of the labor, Quick Exposure Check method of individual musculoskeletal load determination, method NIOSH recommended lifting weight limit of detection, psychological climate in the working environment evaluation method, work ability index detection method, the on-site audit of working environment and occupational health and safety system.
