The End of the Cold War and the Present State of International Relations: Time for a Historiographical Reassessment?

We asked five distinguished scholars of the Cold War their opinion about these topical considerations and how they may influence or not future historiography. Should they stimulate a revision of the interpretations that have characterized the last decades about the Cold War, the ways it ended, and finally its legacy for our times? Is it possible that the processes mentioned above, or others that will follow, can lead to a reassessment of the periodizing value of 1989-1992, and more generally of the periodization commonly attributed to the Cold War? Finally, does the application of the «Cold War paradigm» to processes currently in progress still make sense, or rather it should undergo a process of adaptation and update following the most recent events
