Exposición colectiva en la que se expusieron pinturas inéditas y una serie inédita de serigrafía de cada uno de los artistas. La exhibición consiste fundamentalmente en una muestra de pintura. El conjunto de obras incluido fue inevitablemente hecho preguntándose qué pintar y cómo pintar hoy. Por cierto, el oficio de cualquier pintor contemporáneo es practicado en una época digital y global aunque este grupo de artistas se resiste a abandonar lo vernáculo (cuestión patente en algunos títulos de obras, por ejemplo).Galería Madre. Colour and Contemporary Visual Culture
En su primera parte, el artículo revisa los aspectos centrales de la teoría del color de Goethe. Se examina la relevancia que tuvieron los experimentos emprendidos por el alemán, en particular los relacionados con el efecto postimagen, de los cuales surge la idea de un nuevo espectador como productor activo de su propia experiencia estética. Luego se analizan las motivaciones de Goethe y el contexto en que produjo su teoría, publicada en 1810, el mismo año en que Philipp Otto Runge imprimiera otra obra capital, la Esfera del color, y seis años antes que Arthur Schopenhauer diera a conocer su trabajo Sobre la visión y los colores. La segunda parte analiza el tardío impacto que las teorías de Goethe, Runge y Schopenhauer produjeron en el mundo del arte, especialmente a través de los cursos de color impartidos en la Bauhaus por Itten y Klee y también a través del establecimiento de una “gramática del color”. Se examinan las ideas de Schopenhauer en relación con las sensaciones, la representación y el entendimiento y se concluye que el color sería una forma de articulación de conocimiento. Asimismo, se analiza el propósito práctico de la esfera de Runge, quien pretendió confeccionar una presentación diagramática de “todos” los colores y sus mixturas.In its first part, the article reviews the main aspects of Goethe’s Theory on Colour. It studies the relevance that the experiments undertaken by him, in particular the ones related to the post-image effect, from which the idea emerges of a new spectator as the active producer of his own aesthetic experience Later, Goethe’s motivations are analysed, together with the context in which his theory is produced, published in 1810, the same year in which Philipp Otto Runge would print his capital work the Colour Sphere, and six years before Arthur Schopenhauer made public his work On Vision and Colours. The second part analyses the delayed impact that the theories of Goethe, Runge and Schopenhauer had in the world of art, especially through the colour courses taught at the Bauhaus by Itten and Klee and through the establishment of a “colour grammar”. The ideas of Schopenhauer are examined in relation to the senses, representation and understanding, arriving at the conclusion that colour can be a way to articulate knowledge. Additionally, it analyses the practical purpose of Runge’s Sphere, in which he attempts to elaborate a diagrammatic representation of “all” the colours and their mixture
