Los cuatro integrantes del grupo son solista firmemente establecidos, y en cada uno de ello se reconoce una vasta experiencia en el campo de la música antigua por cuanto han trabajado con agrupaciones tan respetadas como The Tallis Scholar The Gabrieli consort y The Tavemer Consort. A Systematic Review of Online Sex Addiction and Clinical Treatments Using CONSORT Evaluation
Get PDFResearchers have suggested that the advances of the Internet over the past two decades have gradually eliminated traditional offline methods of obtaining sexual material. Additionally, research on cybersex and/or online sex addictions has increased alongside the development of online technology. The present study extended the findings from Griffiths’ (2012) systematic empirical review of online sex addiction by additionally investigating empirical studies that implemented and/or documented clinical treatments for online sex addiction in adults. A total of nine studies were identified and then each underwent a CONSORT evaluation. The main findings of the present review provide some evidence to suggest that some treatments (both psychological and/or pharmacological) provide positive outcomes among those experiencing difficulties with online sex addiction. Similar to Griffiths’ original review, this study recommends that further research is warranted to establish the efficacy of empirically driven treatments for online sex addiction

Get PDFOBJECTIVES: Efforts to enhance the reporting of clinical trials have intensified in recent years with automated strategies and editorial involvement showing promise in improving compliance with accepted guidelines. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a concerted approach to adherence to CONSORT (CONsolidated Standards Of Reporting Trials) guidelines in a dental journal. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Following the publication of an exemplar clinical trial on the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (AJO-DO) website and related changes to the author guidelines, trial submissions were required to follow a standard format incorporating subheadings mirroring the CONSORT guidelines. Compliance with CONSORT was assessed in initial submissions over a 30-month period. Reporting was compared to submissions of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) which did not include subheadings over the same period. RESULTS: Seventy-one RCTs were submitted to the AJO-DO from January 2014 to June 2016, 49 with subheadings and 22 without. Most CONSORT items (e.g. random sequence generation, allocation concealment and blinding) were more frequently adequately reported when RCTs were submitted with inclusion of subheadings. Overall, reporting quality of the submitted RCTs was 15.2% higher with use of the subheadings format (95%CI: 10.5, 20.0; p<0.001) with a mean overall score of 87.3%. CONCLUSION: Enhanced compliance of submitted RCTs was found with use of a bespoke approach to trial presentation utilizing CONSORT item subheadings. The improvement in initial submissions is particularly encouraging as this arose without input either from peer reviewers or journal editors. This simple approach may have wider applicability

No full textBackground: Well-designed and well-conducted randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are considered the most reliable evidence regarding the benefits of healthcare interventions. However, there is overwhelming evidence that reporting quality is suboptimal. CONSORT The Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT) statement was developed to improve reporting quality and specifies the minimum items that should be included in reports of randomized controlled trials (RCTs). CONSORT was first published in 1996 and subsequently revised in 2001 and 2010. Here, we present the revised CONSORT 2025 statement, which takes into account recent methodological advances and feedback from end users.
Methods: We conducted a scoping review of the literature to build a project-specific database of empirical and theoretical evidence relevant to CONSORT and to develop a list of potential checklist modifications. This list was based on existing CONSORT extensions (harms, outcomes, non-pharmacological treatments), other relevant reporting guidelines (TIDieR), and other relevant guidelines.The checklist was enriched with recommendations provided by the lead author, as well as recommendations from other sources (e.g., personal communication). The list of potential changes to the checklist was evaluated in a large-scale, international, online, three-round Delphi survey involving 317 participants and further discussed in a two-day online expert consensus meeting with 30 international experts.
Results:We made significant changes to the CONSORT checklist, adding seven new checklist items, modifying three items, deleting one item, and integrating several items from the main CONSORT extension. We also restructured the CONSORT checklist to include a new section on open science. The CONSORT 2025 statement provides a 30-item checklist of essential items to include when reporting the results of an RCT, as well as a diagram for documenting participant flow through the trial.To facilitate the implementation of CONSORT 2025, we have also developed
