    Highlights in oleuropein aglycone structure

    No full text
Oleuropein hydrolysis products, obtained both by endogenous beta-glucosidase and almond commercial one, were investigated by classic methodologies and by (HNMR)-H-1 experiments. We found that both presence and relative amount of the different compounds in the reaction mixture are strictly related to the used enzyme

Total synthesis of anthocyanidins via Heck reaction

    No full text
Anthocyanidin moiety was obtained by cyclization of a 2-hydroxychalcone prepared by the Heck approach to the synthesis of flavonoids. 1-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-prop-2-en-1-one has been used as a coupling partner along with o-acetoxyiodobenzene in the Heck reaction

In the second half of the 90s, alongside the restoration works of the Quattrocentisti (fifteenth century painters) in the Sistine Chapel, it also carried out the restoration of the frescoes of the Stanze di Raffaello. The results of scientific investigations conducted by the Scientific Research Laboratory of the Vatican Museums, previously presented in some assays of study, are summarised and presented in this letter to the Editor for the special issue of Natural Product Research: Natural Products in Cultural Heritage. © 2017, © 2017 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group
