No full textThe combined heat, cooling and power production (CHCP) is one of the most interesting methods to
increase the system global efficiency by supplying electric and thermal power needs both in winter and
in summer, and at the same time reducing CO2 emissions.
Global efficiency increase is related to the use of waste heat which can be also used to produce
cooling energy by means of a absorption chillers.
A CHCP programme is planned in a specific area in the “University City” of the University of Rome “La
Sapienza” (approximately 1000.000 cubic meter and an energy bill of some 10 M€) and it consists of a
gas micro-turbine and a direct exhaust absorption chiller/heater, and will be realised in the area of
Pharmacology Institute buildings, being the first example in Italy.
The realization is the first step which will be further implemented in other areas of “University City”; the
paper deals with the energy savings evaluation, both from the economical and environmental point of
view

Il sistema sarà costituito da una microturbina alimentata a gas metano per la produzione di energia elettrica, dotata di uno scambiatore di recupero dell’energia termica dei fumi, in grado di fornire energia termica utilizzabile per il soddisfacimento dei fabbisogni energetici invernali o per l’alimentazione di una macchina ad assorbimento, ai fini di provvedere alle necessità di condizionamento estivo dell’aria negli ambienti tramite la produzione di acqua refrigerata. Il sistema presenta indubbi benefici economici, per il risparmio sul costo dell'energia elettrica autoprodotta e sulla potenza installata. In media l'impianto si ripaga in 4-5 anni con un utilizzo di almeno 3000 - 4000 ore l'anno) e ambientali, in quanto rispetto alla generazione separata di energia elettrica e termica, la cogenerazione riduce del 30-40% la quantità di combustibile utilizzato, e quindi le emissioni inquinanti

No full textIl presente lavoro costituisce la relazione delle attività svolte dal CITERA per la realizzazione del sistema di generazione di energia ibrido e delle a prima fase di sviluppo dell’applicazione di software di gestione per l’ottimizzazione e il controllo delle smart grid. Questa operazione si configura come la prima applicazione in Italia di un sistema ibrido che impiega, in modo sinergico e razionale, le tecnologie della cogenerazione, del solare termico, del fotovoltaico, della produzione di idrogeno a bassa pressione mediante processo elettrolitico, dello stoccaggio di idrogeno mediante serbatoi ad idruri metallici, e delle fuel cell di piccola potenza ad uso di range extender per veicoli elettrici/ibridi. Allo stesso tempo costituisce un’anteprima non solo nazionale, ma probabilmente europea l’applicazione del software IOC di IBM, progettato per tutte le diverse applicazioni di monitoraggio e controllo e qui sviluppato per la gestione di sistemi energetici complessi. Questa relazione si articola di tre parti: nella prima si descrive il sistema hardware realizzato presso il CUS Tor di Quinto della Sapienza, nella seconda il software IOC di IBM, le fasi di sviluppo e la presentazione dei primi risultati, nella terza parte le logiche di gestione che si sta cercando di implementare al sistema completo

No full text“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

It was established specifically for urban Jewish garment workers, many of whom had emigrated from Europe. President John F. Kennedy sent a telegram to the citizens of Roosevelt, New Jersey, apologizing for not being able to attend the memorial dedication in honor of former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. (Jersey Homesteads became Roosevelt in 1945 in honor of the president.) President Kennedy expressed his gratitude to the people of Roosevelt for constructing the memorial, and commented that it will serve as a constant reminder of Roosevelt's good works
