Study Concerning The Psycho-Motor Coordination - Differences Between Sports
AbstractThe purpose of this study consists in analyzing sports people from the point of view of motor response organization. The computerized assessment RCMV, developed by RQ Plus, consists in issuing a response by activating the handles or pedals (left/right) according to the squares’ position and number, once these appear on the screen. A number of 94 subjects participated in this study, out of which 30 practice contact sports (karate, taekwondo, kempo), 32 practice football and 32 handball. Using ANOVA one-way significant differences between subjects were identified, statistically-wise (p<0,01) concerning performance for an imposed tempo as well as for a self-imposed tempo
Analogical transfer capacity and the discrimination reaction time in elite female tennis players
Speed and Distance Estimation – “Hard Skills” in Sports
AbstractThe purpose of this study is to analyze the participants in terms of their ability to estimate speed and distance. ADV computerized test developed by RQ Plus, is designed as a dynamic model consisting of sequences showing the evolution of three goals on three concentric orbits. The study involved a total of 96 subjects - practitioners of individual sports (tennis, gymnastics, karate, taekwondo), team sports (football, handball, basketball) and non-practitioners. Using one-way ANOVA has proven significant differences in the ratio (p < 0.05) between subjects concerning the performance achieved when measuring speed and distance
HE EFFECTS OF FEAR, SADNESS AND POSITIVE EMOTIONS ON WORKING MEMORY IN THE CASE OF FEMALE ATHLETES
A-state, A-trait and the Performance of 14-15 Years Old Football Players
AbstractThe purpose of this study consists of analyzing the existing correlations between the state anxiety, trait anxiety and sport performance. The Endler Multidimensional Anxiety Scales (EMAS) belonging to the Cognitrom Assessment System, designed by Cognitrom, allow greater precision in assessing anxiety across situations. The subjects who took part in this study are 26 junior football players, from Dinamo Bucharest Sports Club. Using the Spearman correlation there have been important relations highlighted between the physiological responses of the athletes, the trait anxiety in physically dangerous situations and the marks obtained by the football players depending on their evolution on the field
Characteristic of instrumental movements – eye hand coordination in sports
AbstractThe purpose of this study consists in analyzing sports people from the point of view of eye-hand coordination. The computerized test TUD (Dynamic Tracking), developed by RQ Plus, is conceived as a dynamic model obtained through the constant or unsteady movement of a target in an delimited space. A number of 127 athletes participated at the study – practitioners of some sports in which the relation between the athletes implies direct contact (handball, basketball, karate) or no contact (gymnastics, dance, athletics, and swimming). Using t test, significant differences between subjects were identified, statistically-wise (p < 0,05), concerning eye-hand coordination
Cerebral Dominance and the Superfactors of the Big Five Model in Junior Handball Players
AbstractThe five superfactors of the Big Five model (Extraversion, Emotional Stability, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness and Autonomy) have been evaluated through the 5 Personality Factors Questionnaire (CP5F Questionnaire), belonging to the computerized platform of psychological evaluation CAS++, elaborated by Cognitrom. A number of 16 female handball players aged between 14-15 years, from C.S.S. 6 Bucharest have participated in this study. Using the Spearman correlation, we have highlighted important relations between rationality (upper left quadrant) and the results obtained by the athletes for the Emotional Stability Scale and Autonomy Scale
