Timon of Athens with Thomas Middleton
Abstract
This chapter reports the history of Timon of Athens and its authorship. Since the play's represented action was not as violent as Titus Andronicus, it offended fewer critics. Middleton also wrote The Revenger's Tragedy. The division of authorship between Shakespeare and his co-author was solidly established by metrical and linguistic studies. With Timon of Athens, the impressive feature of authorship studies from the 1840s to the 1990s is that widely differing methodologies have converged, supporting sound attributions and discrediting others. All these methods agree in assigning to Middleton a substantial part of Timon, and Shakespearians who continue to deny this point risk forfeiting their scholarly credibility.</jats:p

Epistemology and legal informatics in the application of the principle of solidarity against the reinforced labor stability of people with disabilities from the legal risk management
(Texto tomado de la fuente)The variety of jurisprudential criteria in the allocation of risks and distribution of burdens that is evidenced in cases of jurisdiction about reinforced labor stability in the face of the decrease in the work capacity of a worker constitutes a problem related to the scope of the principle of solidarity that directly affects the labor inclusion of people with disabilities. Within the bases of these divergences, it has been pointed out that acting in solidarity implies taking full or partial responsibility for the human costs that their health situation implies for the person, distributing the burdens of the affected person in a reasonable way among other people, for which jurisprudence has taken into account family ties (care), social security (benefits) and for their employers and contractors, the duty to preserve them in employment unless there is just cause, without prejudice to the obligation to relocate, train and adjust the conditions of their work to the change in their existential conditions.
The objective of the research is to identify the epistemological foundations that underlie the different criteria used by the jurisprudence of the High Courts to determine the scope of solidarity in the allocation of risks and distribution of burdens in the face of the reinforced job stability of people in disability situation and the way in which legal informatics can help in this matter. It is questioned whether or not it is necessary to generate a specific solidarity test whose general rules could be abstracted from the specific case of the assignment of risks and distribution of burdens in the face of the reinforced job stability of workers with disabilities.
It is a dogmatic investigation of canned judgment with an epistemological background, with a documentary approach, using the methods of law and economics and the hermeneutics of economic freedoms.DoctoradoDoctor en Derech
A study of TiMoN nano-multilayer coatings deposited by CFUBMSIP using DC and HIPIMS power
TiMoN nano-multilayer hard coatings have been deposited using the closed field unbalanced magnetron sputter ion plating (CFUBMSIP) technique. In one set of experiments, standard DC power supplies were used on four magnetrons in the CFUBMSIP system (4DC magnetrons). The second set of experiments was also in the same magnetic field configuration of CFUBMSIP, but three magnetrons were as again powered with standard DC whilst one magnetron with Ti target was supplied by a high power impulse magnetron sputtering (HIPIMS) power generator (3DC + 1HIPIMS magnetrons). Two elemental titanium sputtering targets and two of molybdenum were used to produce the TiMoN nano-multilayer coatings. Analysis of the coatings was carried out to investigate the differences in terms of properties, compositions and microstructures of the coatings deposited by these two sets of experiments. It was found that the coatings deposited by both sets of the experiments exhibited similar properties of high hardness, good adhesion and exceptional wear resistance, with a lower sliding friction than more commonly used hard coatings including TiN, CrN, TiAlN, CrTiAlN etc. Although the initial TiN coating as formed at the coating-substrate interface using the process of 3DC + 1HIPIMS magnetrons appeared to show a less oriented microstructure in comparison with that of the coating produced by the process using 4DC magnetrons, the compositions and cross sectional microstructures of the bulk of the coatings did not show significant differences, as observed by the cross sectional Transmission Electron Microscopy microstructures of these two types of TiMoN coatings.</p

Timon of Athens : its relationship to other plays of the Shakespeare canon. A study of the play with special reference to themes related to Judaic-Christian thought and expressed through the plot, characterization and imagery of the drama
Timon of Athens has been the subject of conflicting interpretations and evaluations. Those who have found it somewhat unsatisfactory have outnumbered those who have approved it. To explain its more troubling features critics have advanced two theories: first, that the play is written by Shakespeare in collaboration with another author; and second, that the play is all Shakespeare's but lacks final revision. This thesis reviews the critical history of the play, supporting the current general tendency to reject the theory of dual authorship and seeing design in the form of the play and consistency in the development of character and plot.
The writer investigates the themes presented in the play, noting relationships to themes in other plays of the canon. The marked similarities in ideas, imagery, and diction between Timon of Athens and other Shakespearian dramas supports the view of those who regard the play as entirely Shakespeare's. In particular, the treatment given the themes of justice, mercy, grace, and regeneration and the manner in which death is shown to affect character demonstrates that the play is a link between the tragedies and the final tragi-comedies.
The writer believes that the play is satisfactory and understandable if it is regarded as depicting the movement of the soul from the finite to the infinite conception of being. Timon is accordingly viewed as a type of Everyman. Biblical imagery and echoes are noted, particularly those lines recalling passages (in both the Old and New Testaments) dealing with atonement. The principal characters of the play, other than the soldier Alcibiades and the faithful steward, exemplify various phases of worldliness and material-mindedness. Alcibiades stands in a special relationship to Timon in that he remains loyal to him, punishes Timon’s enemies, purges the state, and finally restores order. However, Alcibiades is not above criticism for his actions involve the evils of civil war and disease. The steward, also, remains loyal to Timon. Through his pure love he is able to touch Timon and thus penetrate his misanthropy. As Timon grows towards death there are hints of his moving into a state in which sin is absolved and all faults forgiven.
Some attention has been given to the stage history of Timon of Athens, in particular to the 1965 Royal Shakespeare Company production which proved theatrically successful. The treatment of themes similar to those of Timon in other plays is discussed from a theatrical point of view in an attempt to explain the greater popularity with theatre audiences of plays such as King Lear.Arts, Faculty ofEnglish, Department ofGraduat

Productive potential of species Bambusa vulgaris Schrad. charcoal grown in Timon, Ma
As a result of the scarcity of raw material (wood) for the production of energy, some sectors have committed themselves with great efforts to produce their own inputs. An alternative for this problem is the usage of bamboo in the production of vegetable coal, as it is a species which is tolerant to various types of environment and presents a good productive capacity. In this context, the present study aimed to assess the production potential of vegetable coal of Bambusa vulgaris Schrad, cultivated in Timon, MA. The samples were collected in a bamboo grove of 48,56 ha divided into four stands (treatments), located in the municipality of Timon, MA. Subsequently, taken to the Laboratory of Wood Technology of the UFCG/CSTR, where the basic density of the bamboo poles, the efficiency in the conversion into coal, efficiency in pyrolysis liquid, incondensable gases and immediate chemical analysis were determined. The average basic density of the bamboo was of 490kg/m3, not presenting significant difference between the averages of the four treatments. The average yield in vegetable coal was of 39,05%, and the treatments 1 and 4 presented higher values, with averages of 40,34% and 39,85%, however they did not differ statistically. The average yield of the condensable gases was of 12,17%. The apparent density varied from 1,945 to 2,833 g/cm3. The average contents of volatile materials, fixed carbon and fixed carbon efficiency were respectively 28,55%, 64,11% and 25,04%, not presenting significant difference among the treatments According to the analysis carried out, it was verified that the vegetable coal produced from the poles of Bambusa vulgaris Schrad. has potential for commercialization and use as an energy source
