L'albero della vita
Le poesie sono come le foglie dell'albero della vita. Liberano da molti dèmoni esorcizzandoli in una canzone.Poems are like the leaves of the tree of life. They free you from many daemons exorcising them in a song
An assessment by a commercial software of the accuracy of electromagnetic finite element simulators in the presence of metamaterials
A warning about metamaterials for users of frequency-domain numerical simulators
It is shown that users of frequency-domain numerical
simulators should be warned of the danger of using models with
adjacent complementary media since such a configuration of materials
can be a cause of a numerical instability which cannot be overcome
by the presence of other lossy media or absorbing boundary
conditions. The physical realizability at any frequency of models
considering complementary media with sharp interfaces is then
questioned by the contradiction between the deduced result and
the one which holds true when the actual dielectric structure of
metamaterials is considered

Accuracy of finite difference frequency domain methods in the presence of effective metamaterials
Some considerations on the reliability of finite element simulators for problems involving metamaterials
Synthesis of double-negative materials by using dielectric-loaded rectangular waveguides
Performances of electromagnetic finite element simulators in the presence of three-dimensional double negative scatterers
The effects of the presence of double-negative (DNG) metamaterials on the accuracy of the results computed by finite element simulators are investigated. The performances of the iterative solver usually exploited by the same simulators are analysed, too. The outcome is that finite element simulators could require much finer meshes than usual when DNG metamaterials are involved, especially in regions containing and slightly surrounding the subregions occupied by DNG media. This effect is particularly important when the DNG metamaterials involved have
not a very high magnetic or electric loss tangent. The effect on the most popular iterative solver is even more evident
