Blockchain based organizations and the governance of on-chain and off-chain rules: towards an autonomous (legal) orders ?
Distributed ledger technologies in general and blockchain in particular are not just technologies but also a way through
which to interpret and apply decentralization and distribution. In particular, blockchain technology allows for the trade, management
and control of data validated within it, without the need of a central authority. The sovereignty of nation states and of the whole
international community is then at risk. In fact, blockchain based organizations are deemed to operate as autonomous legal orders,
ruled and governed by their own on-chain rules, forming the so-called lex cryptographia. This chapter will instead show that, besides
these so-called on-chain rules, no blockchain based organization can rid itself of neither the national provisions nor the principles
of international law. It is therefore left to understand how on-chain and off-chain rules combine to govern and manage blockchain
based organization

Ragione aut magia. Ernesto de Martino e l’Europa
Starting from an analysis of the theory of history based on “points of selection and crisis”, already prominent in De Martino’s youthful writings of the 1940s and compatible with his later thought, the paper reconstructs some aspects of the Neapolitan ethnologist’s reflection on the history of Europe. The paper focuses particularly on the anthology Magia e civiltà (1962), in which the definition of Europe as a «civilisation of reason» emerges clearly

Holographic approach to the light-by-light contribution to the muon (g-2)
We discuss how holographic models of QCD are used to study the the hadronic light-by-light (HLbL) scattering amplitude contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment. After a brief description of the various models, we focus on a particular one, introduced by Hirn and Sanz, emphasizing the role it assigns to the pion, and the vector and-axial vector resonances. We review how the parameters of the model are fixed by imposing condition on the low energy and the deep Euclidean limit of two-point correlators of QCD vector and axial vector currents. We then focus on the evaluation of the three-point axial-vector-vector current correlator and the pion anomalous transition form factor to be used in the one-pion exchange HLbL diagram and study its asymptotic properties. Finally, we present preliminary results on the four vector current correlator that defines the Hadronic Light-by-Light tensor. We find that axial-vector resonances play an important rule in recovering the correct asymptotic behaviour predicted by QCD at large Euclidean momenta
Recensione a: NG Irene, The Pricing and Revenue Management of Services. A Strategic Approach, Routledge, UK
Irene Ng’s book plays a significant role in the progress made in revenue management studies.
What the author actually does is not only to collect contributions from all the various previous works, but also she adds something completely new.
The text is split into two parts: the first looks at the question of pricing for service firms from the point of view of the customer: “the buyer as an individual”.
The second part of the book focuses on the issue of the “buyer as an aggregate”, i.e. “how do we go from one buyer to many buyers
