Pierce is interviewed by Margaret O'Rourke and James Billings. Pierce recalls her childhood in the Barnes mansion and talks about her family and their lifestyle and their daily lives. O'Rourke describes the mansion as viewed in a number of photos, reads from Orlando Barnes' biography, Eleanor's wedding announcement and the obituaries of Orlando Barnes and his wife. Following the interview Billings and O'Rourke visit the site of the mansion which was demolished in 1957, describe what they see and speculate on the extent of the property. They also visit Evergreen Cemetery and the Barnes family grave site and read from headstones
