The phrase ''ONE & A HALF DOL'S'' is printed along the left border of the note; the phrase ''Receivable for All County Dues'' is printed along the right border. The abbreviation ''No'' is printed in the upper-left corner of the note; the number ''12'' is handwritten adjacent to it. The amount ''$1.50'' is printed in the upper-right corner. The phrase ''ONE AND A HALF DOLLARS'' appears across the face of the note. The place and year, 1863, are printed towards the lower-left corner; the month and day are handwritten.
