Pour une identité narrative de Jésus (à suivre)
In order to overcome the dilemma between «the historical Jésus and the Christ of the faith», between the «historical identity» and the «dogmatic identity» of Jésus, the author suggests here the formulation of a «narrative identity» of Jésus. This third path towards an identification of Jésus («Whom do y ou say that I am ? ») is established on the basis of the phenomenology of narrative and the hermeneutics of identity through which philosophy, and hence dogmatic theology and reflexive Christology corne to agrée with the recent discoveries of narrative theology and literary exegesis. The first part of the article is devoted to the quest for this narrative identity ; the second part (which will be published in the next issue) is devoted to the invention of this narrative identity.Gesché Adolphe. Active school of Adolphe Ferrière
The paper presents views of Adolphe Ferrière, a Swiss educator and psychologist and a Professor at the "Jean-Jacques Rousseau" Institute, about active school - one of the "new school" movements that emerged in the first half of 20th century as a countermove to traditional school founded on Herbartian conception of education. Condemning old school’s intellectualism and verbalism, active school turns towards a child, his nature, needs and interests, and declares activity, "child’s self-work", the basic principle of education. The paper points out Ferrière’s contributions to the transformation of "learning school" into "working and activity school". After presenting Ferrière’s criticism of traditional school as well as a number of "new school" movements, the author provides in more detail essential features of active school. Ferrière’s argumentation against attempts to identify active school with "handwork school" and against tendencies to make it equal with "active methods" is herein presented. Also, the author elaborates why Ferrière turns down the objection that active school neglects intellectual education and why he does not accept pragmatic qualifications of active school. Consideration is given to the demands of active school for teacher education i.e. characteristics that a "new school" teacher should possess as required by Ferrière
La création : cosmologie et anthropologie
Since the 1960' s, theology has taken on a clearly anthropocentric character. The neglect of this décisive évolution is excluded : God is above ail the God of mon and for mon. In this article, the author pleads nonetheless for a revival of a theology of création, and especially its cosmological dimension. Infact, it is possible that the central concern of a theology oriented by an ethical préoccupation may be endangered by an excessive concentration on mon. Mon needs more thon himself as horizon and vis-à-vis. For this, he must rediscover in his God a God who is not the mère glorified reflection of himself but one who is the Lord of the universe. Furthermore, he needs a cosmos which is restituted as the place necessary to situate himself and to identify himself as in his own house. If in addition, one recognizes the renewed importance which the natural sciences and their project of a «new covenant» (Progogine and Stengers) hâve taken as well as the concern of Process Theology for a God involved with his création, the goal of the présent article to show why and how to develop a theology of cosmos shall be better understood.
At the same time several studies about the theologian of Leuven, Adolphe Gesché, disclose nuclear points of his theology: his systematic, depth and intuition, new roads are opened in theological reflection driven by his intuitions. This article aims to show the relationships, implicit and explicit , of the author with the Fundamental Theology. This, in epistemological questions values, issues, and functions and in the specific deployment of this epistemology showing, thus, inclusiveness among Fundamental Theology and Dogmatic Theology of his life s work.
