Peter Friedl. The Unanswered Question
Charles Ives’ composition The Unanswered Question, written in 1906, revised in 1930–35 and premiered in 1946, places a string quartet, brass and a solo trumpet in a question-and-answer situation and serves as inspiration for an unusual artist’s talk. People who have worked with Peter Friedl in the past have been asked to submit questions that they have not dared to ask until now, which did not arise until after the end of the exhibition or for which there was never a real opportunity.
In conversation with Vanessa Joan Müller Peter Friedl will answer these questions by Marie-Thérèse Champesme, Jean-François Chevrier, Corinne Diserens, Luigi Fassi, Brian Kuan Wood, Salvatore Lacagnina, Adam Szymczyk,
Claire Tancons, Hilde Van Gelder, Marianna Vecellio, and others.status: Publishe
