Wollstonochlincraft 1791–1971 / Annabel Frearson
Wollstonochlincraft 1791–1971 forges compound neologisms from two emblematic feminist texts that are mirrored in their dates and message: A Vindication of the Rights of Woman (Wollstonecraft, 1791) and Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists? (Nochlin, 1971). Their historic argument recursively resonates in a digitised neoliberal realm to reflect a contemporary reality and dystopian future trajectory.Linda Nochlin has kindly selected the words for inclusion.
THE GOOD READER is a new series of booklets published by MA BIBLIOTHÈQUE. THE GOOD READER addresses reading, as both virtue and duty. The editor invites authors she considers to be good readers. She agrees with Nabokov that a good reader, a major reader, an active and creative reader, is a re-reader

Frankenstein economy
Annabel Frearson reads all the words from Frankenstein (Shelley, 1831) and their frequency of occurrence. Collated within a Frankenstein database, the words have been loosely categorised according to semantics, sounds, grammar, or length of word. Frearson performs situated readings of the Frankenstein database in key locations within proximity of her London home, including: the financial City of London, Royal London hospital, Tower Hamlets cemetery, Stepney city farm, Wapping beach, London City airport.
‘Frankenstein economy’ coincides with Frearson’s production of a limited edition of Frankenstein business cards and investigates the relationship between narrative, value, and landscape within a database economy of attention

Filmarmalade presents...
Filmarmalade are proud to present Pil & Galia Kollectiv’s film work 'Suck The Living Labour', Roman Vasseur’s book work 'Dead Stock' and a presentation of 'Light In Dust Tree All' by Annabel Frearson
“Ghouls, ghosts, werewolves and vampires form a rich layer of imagery in Karl Marx’s Capital. These monsters continue to haunt discussions of capitalism as metaphors for consumerism, greed, the modern bureaucratic management of life and, mostly, systems of labour.
The event will explore these links between politics, art and the gothic imagination through presentations and screenings of work by Roman Vasseur, Annabel Frearson and Pil & Galia Kollectiv, followed by a discussion between the artists about spectres of the market and the demonology of Capital”
