Recensione di Utopie e realtà
Review of Cuozzo's book. The book starts from an analysis of social and political reality, with forays into the world of advertising and cinematography, in the ecological debate and even in the consumer variants of the wonderful country of Oz (because the storytelling magicians, today, are really many). With it the author tries to answer the following questions: is it still possible to hope today? what is utopia in the face of the harsh reality that surrounds us? what meaning can melancholy and the desire for what is missing in a world invaded by technology and dominated by commodity still have? Utopias and reality suggests exploring reality with a new look; as the great painters teach, first of all Jan van Eyck, Hans Holbein and René Magritte. But as the great storytellers also know how to do: Franz Kafka, George Perec and Paul Auster. With this book Cuozzo demonstrates how philosophy is always and in any case a utopian journey to the country elsewhere, at the end of which - amid a thousand vicissitudes and accidents along the way - nothing remains as before. The paradigm of wandering is our condition, which crosses the stable border between possible ecological catastrophe and world salvation. It's up to us to decide which way to go. Utopias and reality is a bet on a meaningful rest, present here and now, which suddenly approaches - as if by magic - the desire for happiness and the world of all time
The present and future of metaphysics in the 21st century: in the book edited by Enrique Romerales some world-class metaphysical philosophers confront each other and converse with us about what metaphysics is today. Analytical and continental philosophers show some considerations on the general and particular topics of metaphysics: e.g. what is the relationship between metaphysics and ontology? What advances can there be in reflection of metaphysics? The answers are very different but all the authors share the conviction that metaphysics is inescapable: the center of philosophical thought is metaphysics. The papers contained in the book offer the chance to examine and reflect upon such matters as: hermeneutical ontology, allism and noneism, metaphysical retractatio, topology etc
Soggetto in quanto corpo
According to Anders, technology replaces human body, in fact it is more powerful than physicality which can’t be shaped. Technology imposes itself on human body while human beings are ashamed of their one. Reduction of the body destroys humanity of human being and its scale of values. According to Heidegger, the vocation of technology is to impose itself and to be independent from man, but it supports life and nature. Even neurobiology offers a duality between higher cognitive activities of mind and the part of the brain connected to emotions. Both technology and higher activity of mind seem to propose a transcendence of the body. But the aesthetic fruition of photography reconfigures human being as a body, as Barthed proved. Aesthetics, as a philosophy of experience, may propose to canalize emotions and body towards the redefinition of the subject-man through the motto “I feel, therefore I am”
This paper focuses on a Nazi propaganda's film, Der ewige Jude, directed by F. Hippler. The movie is a classic of anti-Semitism but the idea of eternal Jew and his opposition to the Aryan people least breaks out of a discrepancy. For Nazi ideology Jew is not being a people, not being a form. Truly, it is an anti-people, all but an not being, it is shapeless. But the cinema produces images, insofar as this is a shape; so, what Nazism recognizes to His own people, and denies it to Jew, the form as such, the movie attributes it to him

Almodóvar's Los abrazos rotos explores the possibilities of cinema to represent the holy contents of the myth. According to two modes of its expression (reflection and the unseen), we can see the implementation of a blunt myth. The myth is attenuated in its produced or spectacular content, with a focus on the symbol and on minesis. The myth reveals but it does not exhibit itself. It seems that the transcendent could be represented using the irony of those who proves the innuendo. The myth is given through the blindness which denies mimesis and shows its more peculiar contents in a blunted way

This paper aims to analyze the concept of fear in La main du diable, a movie of Maurice Tourneur. The film shows the Faustian pact between a bad artist and the devil. The pact concerns a wretched hand, and the obsession that will lead the protagonist to free it. The director has been able to show two kinds of fear, which, taken in isolation, seem to be a chiasm: the fear of death, which is afraid of a condition of life that leads to death (misery, failure, lack of love), and the fear of life, which is afraid of eternity, of an eternal suffering, of a life that does not remedy the loss of one's being. And these fears are afraid of the image and fear of the lack of image. The heart's reasons arise with overwhelming from the interweaving of these two fears. They subsume unto themselves the intellect because it supplins, comforts and obeys passionate motives. The study of the morphology of the various movie's fears uses the terminology of Blaise Pascal, which is the hermeneutical instrument of the analysis
