Gli spazi di coworking come catalizzatori dell'innovazione urbana Coworking spaces as catalysts for urban innovation
Work that has become "liquid" has lost its connotation in physical space and has become atomized and nomadic. It has re-coagulated under new socioeconomic and spatial forms of aggregation-among them, with increasing momentum-in Coworking Spaces. Their diffusion in the urban fabric encourages behaviors oriented toward sustainability and regeneration, which promote improved quality of life and living.
Coworking Spaces founded on the value of sociality, express it through the principles of accessibility, inclusiveness and sharing, key concepts in the so-called Sharing Economy. This sociality also contributes to the definition of a collective identity that is manifested by a feeling of community, capable of creating cohesion and citizenship.
Through the analysis of some of the literature, it is intended here to set out an overview of the phenomenon, to identify some of the main reasons formulating its growing success and prevalence

Integrating political attitudes and cognitive style in a model of right wing radicalism
Research showed that multi-factorial models of ideology which include existential, epistemic and relational motives not only account for political orientation but also highlight its core aspects (Jost, Federico & Napier, 2009; Schwartz, Caprara, & Vecchione, 2010). Recently, Montuori (2005) argued that reasoning according to a “logic of disjunction that creates binary opposition that cannot be reconciled” exacerbates what is termed the “totalitarian mindset” (p. 26). In this study we examined this hypothesis by testing a model in which a disjunctive binary logic mediates political attitudes and proxies for right-wing radicalism.
Methods: 425 participants completed a survey on political orientation which included measures of social dominance orientation and right wing authoritarianism. Personal values, egalitarianism, and beliefs in a free society were also assessed as they are motives typically associated with ideology. Lastly, we assessed disjunctive logic based on a scale derived from a comprehensive study of ambiguity intolerance markers (Lauriola, Foschi, Mosca, & Weller, 2014).
Results: A structural equation model in which beliefs in free society, egalitarianism and traditionalism predicted right-wing radicalism was tested with or without interposing a disjunctive logic factor. This factor increased the proportion of variance in right-wing radicalism explained and the mediation model had a good fit with the data.
Conclusion: Our findings show that a cognitive style characterized by disjunctive logic played a major role in predicting behaviors associated with right-wing radicalism, thus extending previously published literature which has focused on core aspects of political orientation (Jost, et al. 2003; Montuori, 2005; Napier & Jost, 2008)
Parametric Design of Applied Origami with a Synthetic Computational Approach
In this paper, we present a series of case studies of origami-like geometries modelled and animated following the principles of the synthetic method applied through parametric modelling applications. The aim of this research is to analyze the benefits and criticalities of the proposed method in the field of applied origami design. The presented method will be compared with the algebraic-based analytical approach highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of both methods. This paper is based on the PhD thesis of the last Author and we present a selection of the most interesting generative algorithms we have studied and designed
Quantifying Uncertainty in Hypothetical 3D Reconstruction—A User-Independent Methodology for the Calculation of Average Uncertainty
A shared commitment to standardising the process of hypothetically reconstructing lost buildings from the past has characterised academic research in recent years and can manifest at various stages of the reconstructive process and with different perspectives. This research specifically aims to establish a user-independent and traceable procedure that can be applied at the end of the reconstructive process to quantify the average level of uncertainty of 3D digital architectural models. The procedure consists of applying a set of mathematical formulas based on numerical values retrievable from a given scale of uncertainty and developed to simplify reuse and improve transparency in reconstructive 3D models. This effort to assess uncertainty in the most user-independent way possible will contribute to producing 3D models that are more comparable to each other and more transparent for academic researchers, professionals, and laypersons who wish to reuse them. Being able to calculate a univocal numerical value that gives information on the global average uncertainty of a certain reconstructive model is an additional synthetic way, together with the more visual false-colour scale of uncertainty, to help disseminate the work in a clear and transmissible way. However, since the hypothetical reconstructive process is a process based on personal interpretation, which inevitably requires a certain level of subjectivity, it is crucial to define a methodology to assess and communicate this subjectivity in a user-independent and reproducible way

Advanced Analytical Tools for the Estimation of Gut Permeability of Compounds of Pharmaceutical Interest
The present study aims at developing a quantitative structure–activity relationship (QSAR) model for the determination of gut permeability of 228 pharmacological drugs at different pH conditions (3, 5, 7.4, 9, intrinsic). As a consequence, five different datasets (according to the diverse permeability shown by the compounds at the different pH values) were handled, with the aim of discriminating compounds as low-permeable or high-permeable. In order to achieve this goal, molecular descriptors for all the investigated compounds were computed and then classification models calculated by means of partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA). A high predictive capability was achieved for all models, providing correct classification rates in external validation between 80% and 96%. In order to test whether a reduction in the molecular descriptors would improve predictions and provide information about the most relevant variables, a feature selection approach, covariance selection, was used to select the most relevant subsets of predictors. This led to a slight improvement in the predictive accuracies, and it has indicated that the most relevant descriptors for the discrimination of the investigated compounds into low- and high-permeable were associated with the 2D and 3D structures
Virtù dei falsari, vizi dei critici, ovvero: come difendere a oltranza falsi probabili o conclamati. Nove strategie
Starting from the exemplary case of the so-called Diario postumo attributed to Eugenio Montale, the paper analyses some typical defence strategies used by critics who persist in supporting, even beyond all reason, the possible authenticity of indisputable forgeries
