No full textEn el treball es constata la presència d'Apatopygus garciasanzi Forner, 2016 al Barremià superior, dins la Fm. Xert, la qual cosa té molta importància perquè fa encara més antiga l'aparició d'un caràcter modern, la pèrdua d'un dels dos porus ambulacrals més enllà dels pètals, que es pensava abans de la descripció de l'espècie que no va passar fins al Cenomanià. Només s'ha disposat d'un exemplar d'aquesta rara espècie, que n'eleva fins a deu el cens mundial conegut. S'amplia en un milió d'anys, fins a 25, la pèrdua d'un porus ambulacral més enllà dels pètals en els Neognostomata, tret evolutiu que acabarà compartint quasi tot el grup a partir del Terciari. Es confirma que l'espècie no té porus bucals, la qual cosa anul·la la hipòtesi comunament admesa que l'aparició d'aquests és coetània al pas a porus simples enllà dels pètals. Amb el registre fòssil actual, es confirma que A. garciasanzi pot ser l'avantpassat de tots els Neognostomata moderns i que s'han de reformular totes les interpretacions que Kier va fer, als anys 60 del segle passat, sobre el grup.The paper confirms the presence of Apatopygus garciasanzi Forner, 2016 in the Upper Barremian, within the Xert formation. This is a very significant discovery as it makes the development of a modern characteristic, the loss of one of the two ambulacral pores beyond the petals, more ancient than previously thought. Until now this development was considered to have occurred in the Cenomanian. Only one specimen from the new Barremian site has been obtained bringing the total world census of this rare species to ten. The loss of the ambulacral pore is pushed back by at least one million years (to 25mn years), an evolutionary feature that will end up being shared by almost the entire group from the Tertiary onwards. It is confirmed that the species does not have oral pores, which invalidates the commonly accepted hypothesis that the appearance of these traits is contemporary with the transition to simple pores beyond the petals. With the current fossil record, it is confirmed that A. garciasanzi could be the ancestor of all modern Neognothostomata and that the interpretations that Kier made in the 1960s about the group must be reformulated

By vindicating the originality of this writer, who described himself as a "researcher in poetry", justice is done to two fundamental texts of the Iberian and European avant-garde, which, published in editions of only a hundred copies, had a very limited diffusion. They are books of surrealist prose poetry that illustrate an aspect of the author's characteristic duplicity. J. V. Foix was the pseudonym used by Josep Vicenç Foix i Mas (1893-1987), one of the most singular writers of 20th century Catalan literature. Author of a highly experimental poetry, he achieved a subtle, conceptual and formal combination of ancient and modern values, confirmed in the final verse of one of his sonnets: "m'exalta el nou i m'enamora el vell" ("I am exalted by the new and in love with the old")

No full textEl present treball és una aproximació a la paleontologia de la ciutat de Tarragona i a la col·lecció dipositada al museu d’Història de Tarragona. Es reporta un conjunt faunístic de l’Albià (Cretaci Inferior), de la Formació Montmell, recuperat en els anys setanta a l’antiga pedrera del Sanatori de la Salut, anomenada la Casablanca. Al mateix temps, es registra un equínid, Leptosalenia barredai Forner, 2014, originalment descrit en nivells coetanis de la conca del Maestrat i es discuteixen les seves implicacions paleobiogeogràfiques.In the present work, the paleontology of the city of Tarragona and the collection housed in the Museu d’Història de Tarragona is addressed. A faunal collection from the Albian (Lower Cretaceous), from the so-called Montmell Formation, recovered in the late 70’s in the old Sanatori de la Salut quarry, ‘la Casablanca’, is reported. Further, an echinoid, Leptosalenia barredai Forner, 2014, originally described in coeval levels of the Maestrat basin, is described herein and its paleobiogeographic implications are discussed
