Cosmoclopius curacavensis Cobben and Wygodzinsky 1975 Cosmoclopius Stål, 1866, has seven described species (Maldonado 1990). C. curacavensis was originally described from Curaçao, where it is associated with Cleome viscosa [Capparidaceae] (Cobben & Wygodzinsky 1975). For the first time the genus is recorded from Colombia (Fig. 44), and this is the first record of this species from continental South America. Material examined: COLOMBIA, 1 Ψ, Cundinamarca, Apulo, 1 VII 1972, M. Arrieta, leg. / Cosmoclopius curacavensis C. Weiracuh det. 1998 [UNCB].Published as part of Forero, Dimitri, 2006, New records of Reduviidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) from Colombia and other Neotropical countries, pp. 1-47 in Zootaxa 1107 on pages 26-27, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17145
