John F.S.Jeanes, 82, retired farmer, likes to sun himself on a bench in Main Street Drouin. He was one of a family of 14, has six children, but can't remember how many other other descendents. 'There were Jeanes' all over the district' he says. Many, both males and females are serving in Australia's fighting forces. When photographer James Fitzpatrick explained what his picture was about, the old man just kept saying'I don't understand it Sir!'
