2016 Inductee, Nicolas Ferrante; Winemaker and Owner of Ferrante Winery

Nicholas Ferrante is shown holding both awards. Nicholas Ferrante, a third generation winemaker for Ferrante Winery in Harpersfield, is regarded as one of the state\u27s most respected winemakers. His wines have been awarded \u27Sweepstakes,\u27 \u27Best of Show,\u27 and \u27Double Gold,\u27 recognition from coast to coast. He has generously given of his time, serving on the Ohio Grape Industries Committees and on its research subcommittees. He has been a supporter and collaborator of research and innovation, be it through our universities or in his support or the Grand River Valley initiative or the creation of Pairings Wine and Culinary Experience. Leaders in local and national viticulture, the couple brought some of the first French hybrid grapes, a cross between American native grapes and European wine grapes, to the Grand River American Viticulture Area. This mix combines the best traits of both varieties; resisting disease, surviving northern Ohio’s cooler climate, and making better quality wines
Ferrante Winery, 2016
https://kent-islandora.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/wineryne/72/thumbnail.jpgLocated along the southern shores of Lake Erie, the winery offers award-winning wines, a tasting room, cellar tours, weekend events, a full-service Italian restaurant, and an outdoor terrace with scenic views of the vineyard. It all started in 1937 when Anna and Nicolas Ferrante opened their first winery in Cleveland\u27s Collinwood area and grew grapes on the winery\u27s current location in Harpersfield. New winemaking facilities were built in Harpersfield by sons Anthony and Peter in the 1970\u27s around the same time the winery in Cleveland closed. Today, the wine is produced by Nick Ferrante, a third generation winemaker, who was inducted into the Ohio Wine Hall of Fame in 2015. The winery currently sells about 100,000 to 130,000 gallons per year and about 35 percent is estate grown. The winery is known for its vinifera varieties and its ice wine.</p

The winery JOHANN W
The aim of this dissertation is, at first, describing the theory of the business plan, how the plan should look like, what it should contain in particular points. In the second, practical part I worked out the business plan for the Winery JOHANN W with using this theory. Excluding the basic summary of the business opportunity is a part of this work elaborately worked out the marketing and business strategy, the analysis of the market and the competition, the financial plan and described and evaluated risks of the project. In conclusion is here the implementation plan created, which should show the way to the set aims, mainly in the turistic sphere, which isnt developed for now. This business plan is primarily established for internal using of the Winery JOHANN W and of the author
