El ensayo propone un marco crítico transnacional y transmediático, que permite una perspectiva comparatista y transcultural. Esta aproximación crítica se aplica a la reflexión de un breve corpus de películas extraídas de la vasta producción audiovisual asociada con la representación de voces indígenas/indigenistas, en el espacio nacional y continental, en los últimos años. Se propone que esta producción, que se gesta dentro y en asociación con movimientos políticos, sociales y culturales de implicaciones históricas, responden al acontecimiento de la indigeneidad, noción propuesta por Jeff Himpele, antropólogo y documentalista. Las películas que se discuten son: Pïrínop (Mi primer contacto, Brasil, Video Nas Aldeias, 2007); Eréndira Ikikunari (México, Juan Mora Catlett, 2006); y La teta asustada (España-Perú, Claudia Llosa, 2009).
Abstract
This monograph proposes a transnational and trans-media critical framework by using a comparatist and transcultural perspective. This critical framework is applied to the reflection of a brief corpus of films coming from the vast contemporary audiovisual production representing indigenous and indigenist voices, in the context of the Latin American nations. The monograph proposes that this production, originated in connection with social, political and cultural movements of historical significance, can be associated with the event of indigeneity, as proposed by anthropologist and documentary filmmaker Jeff Himpele. The films discussed are: Pïrínop (My first contact, Brazil, Video Nas Aldeias, 2007); Eréndira Ikikunari (Mexico, Juan Mora Catlett, 2006); and La teta asustada (The Milk of Sorrow, España-Perú, Claudia Llosa, 2009)

Claudia Rankine has written five collections of poetry, including Citizen: An American Lyric, which was selected for the National Endowment for the Arts\u27 Big Read, and two plays. She also has participated in several video collaborations and edited anthologies including The Racial Imaginary: Writers on Race in the Life of the Mind.
Rankine has received fellowships from the MacArthur and Guggenheim foundations. Citizen won several honors, including the National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry, the PEN Open Book Award and the NAACP Image Award. Citizen also was the only poetry book to be a New York Times nonfiction bestseller. She is the Frederick Iseman Professor of Poetry at Yale University and chancellor of the Academy of American Poets

Prácticas político-culturaesles y téticas de la revolución es el cuarto tomo de la colección“Hacia una Historia de las Literaturas Centroamericanas”. La colección está compuesta por seis volúmenes independientes oria de la literatura centroamericana. Los objetivos generales de la colección “Hacia una Historia de las Literaturas Centroamericanas” apuntan a la articulación de una reflexión crítica transnacional/transregional/transdisciplinaria para una nueva conceptualización de Centroamérica y sus literaturas.
El proyecto “Hacia una Historia de las Literaturas Centroamericanas” fue inaugurado en 1995 en la Universidad Centroamericana (uca) de Managua, Nicaragua. Desde entonces ha reunido a un variado equipo editorial por más de dos décadas, tanto en el Centro de Investigación en Identidad y Cultura Latinoamericanas (ciicla) de la Universidad de Costa Rica, donde el programa ha tenido su sede desde finales de los años noventa, como en otros espacios institucionales dentro y fuera del istmo centroamericano.Este tomo, editado por sobre la histHéctor M. Leyva, Werner Mackenbach y Claudia Ferman, ofrece una exploración de las producciones literarias y culturales del Istmo que se concentra en el período comprendido entre los años cincuenta y noventa del siglo XX. Enmarcado dentro de los parámetros generales del proyecto, el volumen fue concebido como una invitación a escribir de forma crítica e innovadora sobre estas producciones con el propósito de enriquecer el horizonte de las historias literarias más convencionales.
¿Cómo encarar, un período tan dilatado y diversificado en el tiempo cultural como lo fue para Centroamérica la segunda mitad del siglo XX? ¿Cómo delimitar el objeto de estudio para hacer posible una narración historiográfico-literaria de cierto carácter representativo? Los editores del tomo optaron por colocar el foco de atención en el vínculo entre la literatura y la política, a la vista de su profunda imbricación en estas décadas.
