    M.Phil.Pingdian, or commentary, was a significant form of Chinese traditional literary criticism. This thesis concentrates on drama commentaries in The Plays Revised by Mohanzhai, which were compiled and printed by Feng Menglong (1574-1646) during the late Ming period. Through a close comparative study of different types of redaction found in that collection, I intend to explore undiscovered meanings and worth of Feng’s drama commentaries as well as his revisions. In addition, this research combines Feng’s commentaries with his life experience and views on drama in general, with the aim to demonstrate his preference and ambition in traditional drama and theatre.First of all, the thesis introduces the various editions of The Plays Revised by Mohanzhai, and all of Feng’s published works. Then the three chapters that follow deal with respectively, Feng’s two plays with self-commentaries, three plays that Feng praised with minor adjustments, and three plays that he criticized and revised considerably. It can be seen that Feng Menglong was very confident in his knowledge of drama especially in the prosody of Kun opera. He was also very keen on correcting errors in plot structure, performance, and even props. The commentaries in his published drama collection were not only a means of communication with his peer dramatists, actors, and audience, but also a way of direct participation in the establishment of model chuanqi drama.In summary, this thesis exemplifies how Feng’s intent to correct errors and establish models in the late Ming field of drama has made his drama redactions and commentaries significant in the history of Chinese drama criticism.本文以《墨憨齋定本傳奇》之劇作為中心,立足於不同劇作評點之差異,展開馮夢龍戲曲評點研究,並結合馮夢龍自身生命歷程、戲曲活動、興趣交游、曲學偏好、曲壇志向等,試圖還原評點與作者、作品及評者的緊密聯繫。首先,本文從晚明出版文化出發,在概述《墨憨齋定本傳奇》出版情況之餘,梳理了馮氏全部纂書及出版活動,並分析馮夢龍戲曲刊刻的特殊之處。馮夢龍以曲學自任,生前有著宏遠的曲學追求與抱負,其《墨憨齋定本傳奇》的刊刻與評點,亦藉自刻與同道好友交流溝通,又以評點之舉直接參與曲壇典範的建立。其次,本文以評改比例為據,劃分《墨憨齋定本傳奇》中各部劇作,重新審閱馮夢龍的戲曲偏好與訴求。其中,包括馮夢龍自作自評之劇《雙雄記》與《萬事足》,改動較少之劇《楚江情》、《夢磊記》、《邯鄲夢》,改動較多、改併重編之劇《女丈夫》、《酒家傭》、《風流夢》。第一部分,以「自作自評」為切人點的研究,在探討馮氏戲曲觀之餘,對於其創作心態與自我評價有不少新的發現,此外,戲曲自評概念的提出,亦讓我們重新審視其在戲曲評點史上的意義;第二部分,三部改動較少之劇,皆為當行之作,原本便爭議較少,馮夢龍在評點中亦予以讚賞,既相互融通又各有側重,《西樓記》之情,《夢磊記》之奇,《邯鄲夢》之悟,分別突出了傳奇的情感表達、劇情呈現與教化功用;第三部分,《女丈夫》、《酒家傭》、《風流夢》三部改動較多之劇,在馮夢龍改編之前,已有多種版本或評本,馮氏增刪評改之舉亦是與曲壇對話的過程。展現在評點中,馮夢龍一方面從不同角度指正前作,另一方面亦自得於其改編之功,這在標題所引的三首下場詩中有明確表露。在此基礎上,本文試圖挖掘並呈現馮夢龍戲曲評點中展現的「正訛」與「垂範」之志,並藉以反思戲曲對於馮夢龍的特殊意義, 以及馮夢龍戲曲評點在戲曲評點史上的意義與價值。李穎瑜.Parallel title from English abstract.Thesis M.Phil.
