Definition and Validation of a Business IT Alignment Method for Enterprise Governance Improvement in the Context of Processes Based Organizations
These days, it is remarkable to note the growing of interest in professional responsibility. Specifically, the responsibility a person commits to when he or she performs a task. Based on a review of research currently performed in the field of policy (from corporate to technical ones), we observe that the perception of responsibility has often been limited to a combination of rights and obligations. In addition, we are seeing a re-emergence in business (for example, in the financial sector) of a belief that business ethics foundation can be improved and that a renewed focus in this area would help to prevent future breakdowns in the system. With regard to improving business/IT alignment and corporate ICT governance, it becomes increasingly important to define a commonly accepted personal responsibility model that embodies important and well-known concepts like accountability, capability and commitment. Moreover, because responsibility constitutes a fundamental notion of management theory, it is likewise identified as a meaningful bridge toward organizational artifacts. Exploiting process-based approach to define policy seems to offer new research opportunities since process-based organization becomes a continuous widely spread structure.ICT Governance, Responsibility model, Capability, Accountability, Commitment.
Industry program panel
The security of the information owned by the industries is judged as the main concern of these industries' managers, even more than the possibility of the euro zone's breakup or any natural disaster. This statement has been reported by the recent Global State of Information Security Survey 2013 published by PwC and CIO Magazine. This observation must be analysed in parallel to a continuous gowning of the worldwide investment in information security, which has been estimated by PwC, up to 500 billion dollars. Despite the great importance given in the information security, it is noted that 71 percent of these managers continue, in the meantime, to trust their information security system, although only 8 percent of them really possess an organisation adapted to the new information risks.</p
This contribution proposes the commented translation of the first scene of the play La Tragédie du roi Christophe (The tragedy of King Christophe), by Aimé Césaire. The text was published by the Martinican author in 1963 and staged from 1964 onwards. The story addresses the historical clash between the two Haitian revolutionary leaders, Alexandre Pétion (1770-1818) and Henry Christophe (1767-1820), after the establishment of Haitian independence in 1804. The ex-enslaved Henry Christophe I, self-proclaimed King of Haiti in 1811, stars, in the play, political impasses resulting from the decolonization process, for the constitution of a new free and democratic Haitian state. We chose to translate the scene that announces and illustrates, in the opening of the first Act, the tragic character that permeates the unfolding of events
Preliminary Literature Review of Policy Engineering Methods - Toward Responsibility Concept
This paper introduces a preliminary review of the research currently performed in the field of Policy. This review aims to understand the approaches covered by main research streams in that area and to highlight the advantages of the essential and most renowned solutions. The review of the literature quickly provides a plethora of publications that presents innovative proposals on the matter of policy conceptual model, engineering methods, elicitation languages, as well as cases studies. It also brings out that the papers most often refer rather evasively to the organizational model layers when aligning and positioning their theory with organizational concepts. Consequently, it sounds useful to orient and improve our own developments in the purpose of ameliorate that issue. Based on that overview's results, we are able to orient our researches more deeply by proposing an innovative approach that focuses in one hand on a policy model designed to take into account the responsibility of stakeholders and in the other hand on policy engineering method that takes care of business process while at the same time using requirement engineering (RE) principles. Responsibility is a notion that remains rarely addressed and that however embodies important and well-know concepts like accountability, capability and commitment. Moreover, responsibility constitutes a fundamental notion of management theory and is consequently identified as a meaningful bridge toward organizational artifacts. Exploiting process to define policy seems likewise to offer new research opportunities since process organizations become a more widely spread structured approach
A minimalistic decision tree for blockchain business cases in healthcare
Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is an emerging technology to remove middlemen from an eco-system. However, many DLT/BC projects are very technologically oriented and fail to address the business case and the re-design of its eco-system. Therefore, many DLT/BC projects do fail. We propose a minimalistic decision tree to check whether a business case is suitable for implementation by DLT/BC technology and evaluate the tree in the healhtcare domain.</p

Building a Responsibility Model to Foster Information Technology: Contributions from Social Sciences
The economic context advocates a better understanding of responsibilities and an enhancement of these responsibilities within a moral perspective. These arising requirements have oriented our research toward the elaboration of an innovative responsibility model. This paper aims at enriching our responsibility model on the basis of a further analysis of these concepts in human sciences literature
Refining the Notion of Responsibility in Enterprise Engineering to Support Corporate Governance of IT
Conceptual Trusted Incident Reaction Architecture
Enterprise networks are continuously growing up and rising connections with various softwares and systems. Their components' security is a tremendous challenge especially due to their heterogeneity and distributed structure. Mechanisms, such as the intrusion detection system, are developed to monitor the security level of those components, their exposure to external attacks or internal failure, and their compliance to target trust level. Although the concept of trust exists for a long time in the computer sciences, it is mainly deployed in the arena of peer-to-peer networking and in specific domains like the e-commerce. The paper proposes a conceptual trusted incident-reaction architecture elaborated firstly based on a multi-agent system that offers the ability to be dynamic and flexible, and secondly based on a decision mechanism that supports the choice of components based on contextual attributes and based on information weighted with trust value
