    Implementation of KH Ahmad Dahlan's educational thoughts in the merdeka curriculum

    This research aims to see how the thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan are implemented in the kurikulum merdeka that is being promoted by the government through KEMDIKBUDRISTEK. The research method used is a literature review where the author collects data on the educational thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan, independent curriculum and discusses how it is implemented. The results of the study show that the thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan are implemented in the independent curriculum in several aspects including: in the education system, namely the integration of religious and Scientific knowledge curricula, in the aspect of educational goals, namely the formation of students who are religiously knowledgeable and intelligent in insight and scientific views which are reflected in the Pancasila student profile, in terms of technical implementation, namely indications of pending development of educational implementation, in terms of learning methods namely contextual learning which is reflected in intracurricular and cocurricular learning models on independent curriculum. In addition to these four aspects, both KH Ahmad Dahlan and the concept of independent curriculum focus on developing students both individually and socially. The implication of this research is the formation of educational institutions that truly become an answer to the needs of students in facing the development of time, not just schools as a formality to get a diploma. As for educators, they should be more open-minded so that they are ready to develop and ready to become a solution for student development

    MANGROVE FOREST CONDITION IN PIRU BAY, WEST SERAM, MOLUCCAS

    Information on condition and biodiversity of mangrove ecosystem to support a sustainable management of mangrove ecosystem is very important in the coastal region of Eti village, Piru Bay, West Seram, Molluccas. The purposes of this study were to determine the condition and biodiversity of mangrove ecosystem in the village of Eti, Gulf Piru. Filed data collection was conducted in November 2010 using the line transect method. The box size along the transects was made in accordance with its purposes such as 10 x 10 m2 for trees, 5 x 5 m2 for sapling, and 1 x 1 m2 for seed. The distance between the box transect was 25 m. Number of individuals of each species were counted and the diameter at the chest-height was also measured. Results showed that sixteen species were found within ten genera. There were 9 species of tree categories, 10 species of sapling categories, and 8 species of seed categories. The highest density and frequency of occurrence for the three categories was represented by Rhizophora apiculata, while the largest coverage percentage was represented by Sonneratia alba. The highest important value was also represented by Rhizophora apiculata. In general, the condition of mangrove forests in the village of Eti, Piru Bay was still relatively good, but the local community was very active to take advantage of these mangrove forests products such as charcoal, fencing, and wood that they sold every week. Therfore, it is necessary for local government efforts to protect the mangrove ecosystem from destructed activities of the local community.Keywords: mangrove forest, Rhizophora apiculata, Sonneratia alba, Teluk Piru, Molluuca

    DISTRIBUTION AND PREDICTION ON HEAVY METALS POLLUTION LEVEL (Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, and Ni) IN SEDIMENT IN BANGKA ISLAND WATERS USING LOAD POLLUTION INDEX AND GEOACCUMULATION INDEX

    Bangka Island is rich in natural resources particularly tin minerals. The increasing of tin mining has elevated various wastes such as tailings, oil, and fuel coming from the sand scraper tin boat. These wastes containing toxic heavy metals may harmful to marine organism. Measurement of Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, and Ni were carried out in September 2010. The purpose of this research was to predict the pollution degree of Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, and Ni in sediment using two different methods namely geoaccumulation index (I_geo) and pollution load index (PLI). The samples of sediments were collected at 20 stations using Gravity Core. The content of heavy metals in all samples was determined using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer with a mixture of air and acetylene flame. The results showed that there was a different of prediction on sediment pollution level between Load Pollution Index with Geoaccumulation Index. According to Load Pollution Index, sediments in this waters were not polluted by Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, and Ni (PLI<1). Based on Geoaccumulation Index, sediment were also not polluted by Pb, Cu, Zn, and Ni (Igeo<0). While for Cd, sediments divided into three categories, namely not polluted (Igeo<0), light polluted (0<Igeo<1), and medium pollued (1<Igeo<2).  The concentration of the heavy metals still lower than that sediment quality guideline values.     Developing Guidebook of Sexual Violence Prevention and Control in Universitas Ahmad Dahlan

    Higher education should be a safe and comfortable place for students to receive education. However, in reality, many cases of sexual violence occur in the university environment. Many victims of sexual violence do not dare to report the incident to the authorities. Meanwhile, some victims who have reported their cases have not received a resolution to the problems they complained about. Based on the results of a student needs survey, as many as 64.7% of students need a guidebook for preventing and controlling sexual violence. Based on the survey results, the author aims to research and develop a guidebook for preventing and controlling sexual violence. After going through four stages of R&D 4D model, this guidebook contains the background, scope, juridical and empirical studies, and mechanisms for preventing and controlling sexual violence. Based on the results of media expert validation tests, this book obtained an Index Aiken’s V Coefficient of 0.81 which is in the high category. Meanwhile, the results of material expert validation tests show that the Index Aiken’s V Coefficient of this book is 0.83, which is also included in the high category. This guidebook will be used as a reference in realizing efforts to prevent and overcome sexual violence in the higher education environment, especially at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan

    Flexible superconducting ceramic polymer composites and method of making same, U.S. Patent 5,108,981

    Superconducting ceramic material is woven into an interconnected structure and embedded in a polymer to produce a flexible, superconducting ceramic material. The polymer also provides protection from moisture. The ceramic polymer composite is fabricated by soaking a carbon fabric in a solution of metal nitrates, ethylene glycol and citric acid to yield a nominal composition of, for example, YBa2Cu3O7-x. Heat treatment results in the decomposition of the nitrates, organics and carbon fabric to produce an interconnected structure of the superconducting ceramic material which takes the shape of the original carbon fabric on a reduced scale. In addition, the processing conditions yield significant grain orientation. The superconducting grains of the ceramic material align along the direction of the original fabric weave which provides an improvement of the critical current densities

    The conflict dynamics of revivalist and traditionalist Islamic groups always colorize development of ideological contest of religious live in Indonesia. One of the important episodes of this conflict dynamic occurred in the era of independence. Through this paper, the author is interested in portraying episodes of Islamic Revivalist dynamics in the independence era through the thoughts and works of influential revivalist scholars, namely Ahmad Hassan.  This study aims to reveal the form of mediation of Ahmad Hassan's Islamic renewal in his book of tafsir Al-Furqan. The author uses a descriptive method of analysis with literature study techniques in reviewing the interpretation of Al-Furqan as the main object of research. The results showed that in mediating Ahmad Hassan's Islamic renewal, Kitab tafsir Al-Furqan accommodates and mediates Islamic renewal in two ways, namely formative and substantive ways.  Formative way of mediation is indicated through the form of tafsir Al-Furqan as a literal and meaningful translation of tafsir. Critically, this form of translation aimed to make Al-Furqan accessible for Indonesian people at that time when they haven’t had proper understanding on Arabic literacy so that people could understand and refer to the meaning of the Qur'an directly. This is in line with Ahmad Hassan's renewal though about the Qur'an and hadith as the main sources of muslims. As for the substantive ways of mediation, tafsir Al-Furqan contains and expresses the thoughts of Ahmad Hassan's renewal as a substance in interpreting the verses of the Qur'an

    Composites of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) and inactive polymers with 3-1 and 3-2 patterns and a method of fabrication thereof are described. Fabrication is accomplished by drilling holes in sintered PZT blocks and filling the holes with epoxy or some other inactive polymer. The influence of hole size and volume fraction PZT on the hydrostatic properties of the composite is evaluated. By decoupling the piezoelectric coefficients d33 and d21 in the composite, the hydrostatic coefficients are greatly enhanced

    Perairan Teluk Jakarta menerima limbah yang berasal dari darat maupun perairan itu sendiri. Salah satu limbah tersebut adalah senyawa organik Polisiklik Aromatik Hidrokarbon (PAH) yang merupakan senyawa organik bersifat toksik terhadap biota laut. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui kandungan PAH air laut dan sedimen dalam kaitannya dengan kehidupan biota laut serta mengetahui sumber senyawa tersebut. Pengukuran dilakukan bulan Maret 2011. Contoh air laut diambil dengan water sampler dan contoh sedimen dengan grab pada 15 stasiun. Kadar PAH dianalisa dengan Gas Chromatography-Flame Ionization Detector. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kadar PAH air laut di Teluk Jakarta Bagian Barat > Bagian Tengah > Bagian Timur. Kandungan PAH di Teluk Jakarta Bagian Barat berkisar 201,57-474,68 ppb dengan total PAH 1404,68 ppb, di Bagian Tengah 104,61-337,07 ppb dengan total 825,63 ppb, dan di Bagian Timur 112,91-370,79 ppb dengan total 806,73 ppb. Data ini menunjukkan Teluk Jakarta Bagian Barat lebih banyak menerima masukan limbah yang mengandung PAH. Sedangkan Kadar PAH sedimen di Teluk Jakarta Bagian Timur > Bagian Tengah > Bagian Barat. Kadar PAH di Teluk Jakarta Bagian Barat berkisar 1,92-64,241 ppm dengan total 107,931 ppm, di Bagian Tengah 16,14-77,71 ppm dengan total 170,61 ppm, dan di Bagian Timur 8,72-115,39 ppm dengan total 252,25 ppm. Data ini menunjukkan sedimen di Teluk Jakarta Bagian Timur lebih banyak mengakumulasi limbah yang mengandung PAH. Sumber PAH dalam air laut dan sedimen ini berasal dari berbagai sumber yakni pembakaran bahan organik, pembakaran minyak bumi, dan tumpahan minyak. Kadar PAH dalam air laut di Teluk Jakarta ini telah melebihi Nilai Ambang Batas yang ditetapkan oleh KMNLH untuk biota laut, dan Nilai Ambang Batas untuk sedimen yang ditetapkan oleh Handbook for Sediment Quality Assessment. Kata kunci: Teluk Jakarta, Polisiklik Aromatik Hidrokarbon, PAH, polusi Jakarta Bay receives various kinds of waste both from land and waters, including Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons organic compounds (PAH). These organic compounds are toxic to marine life. This study determines the content of PAH in sea water and sediments in relation to marine life and to find out the source of the PAH compounds in the Bay of Jakarta. Measurement of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon levels were carried out in March 2011. Sea water samples were taken by using a water sampler and sediment samples taken using a grab at 15 sites. PAH content were analyzed using gas chromatography–Flame Ionization Detector. The results showed that the content of PAH in seawater in the western part of Jakarta Bay > middle > east. The content of PAH in the western of Jakarta Bay ranged from 201,57 to 474,68 ppb with PAH total 1404,68 ppb, in the middle area ranged from 104,61 to 337,07 ppb with PAH total 825,63 ppb, and in the eastern part ranged from 8.72 to 115,39 ppb with PAH total 806,73 ppb. This means that seawater in the western part receives the PAH compound more than the others. However, the content of PAH in sediments in the western part < middle < eastern. This means that sediment in the western part of Jakarta Bay accumulates PAH compound less than the others areas. The content of PAH in the western part of Jakarta Bay ranged from 1.92 to 64.241 ppm with PAH total 107,931 ppm, in middle part ranged from 16.14 to 77.71 ppb with PAH total 170,61 ppm, and in the eastern part range 8,72 to 115.39 ppm with PAH total 252,25 ppm. This means that sediment in the western area of Jakarta Bay accumulates the PAH compound less than the others. Sources of PAH in seawater and sediment came from several sources namely from combustion of organic material, combustion of petroleum, and from petroleum. PAH content in seawater has passed the Threshold Limit Value stated by KMNLH for marine life and also has passed the threshold value stated the Ministry of Environment and Handbook for Sediment Quality Assessment for marine organism.     Nizamuddin Ahmad Gilani’s “Medical Treatise” is a concise Persian-language treatise on medical sciences. Nizamuddin Ahmad was a prominent physician during the Safavid era, with a substantial body of work across various scientific domains, particularly medicine. His scholarly contributions underscore Gilani’s expertise in numerous scientific disciplines, with a particular emphasis on medical knowledge. The “Medical Treatise” comprises an introduction and fifteen chapters. In the introduction, the author explores the significance of medical science based on verses from the Holy Qur’an, hadiths attributed to the Holy Prophet and Imams, as well as the wisdom of sages, equating it with religious and Sharia studies. Subsequently, in the fifteen chapters, the text delves into the description of diseases, their causes and treatments, and the insights of esteemed sages like Galen, Hippocrates, and Luqman.     The Degree of Heavy Metals Pollution in Seawater and Sediment in the Waters of Muna, Kabaena and ButonIsland, Norteast of Sulawesi. Muna, Kabaena, and Buton are islands found in Northeast of Sulawesi. One of them,namely Kabaena Island is island which has high Nickel content. Some of mining industries has explored the Nickelcontent in this area. Tailing come from mining thrown to the sea, will increase the heavy metals content in seawater andsediment in the waters of that third island, remembering the position of that third island not so far. In order to marinepollution monitoring by heavy metals, Research Center for Oceanography has done some marine research in the watersof that third island in April 2006. The aim of this research is to know the impact of Nickel mining activities to heavymetals content in seawater and sediment in that third waters. Heavy metals monitored is Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, and Ni. Theresults showed that the content of heavy metals Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, and Ni in sea water still in line with the threshold valueaccording to Kep MNLH No 51, 2004 for sea biotas. The same condition also found in sediment, where the content ofPb, Cd, Cu, Zn, and Ni is low relative, and still in line with heavy metals content found in normal seawater
