A Study to Analyze Collaboration Patterns for Asian Library and Information Science (LIS) Scholars on Author, Institutional and Country Levels
The aim of the present study is to determine the collaborative activities of Asian library and information science (LIS) researchers through bibliometric, social network analysis at the author, institution, and country levels of the LIS publications produced by Asian researchers. For the study, research articles were derived from the 1994-2013 Web of Science (WoS) archives. Coauthor analysis software was used to analyze author contributions on the New Modified Author Activity Index (NMAAI(1, 2, 3))-a measurement tool to evaluate author research activities. Results reveal (a) that LIS "institutions collaboration pattern" outcomes did not yield strong collaboration with Asian countries or regions, (b) intracontinent and intercontinent collaboration was less harmonious on institutional and author levels, and (c) interpretation through NMAAI(1,2,3) revealed that Asian countries did not produce sufficient collaborative LIS publications. Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, India, Iran, Israel, and Turkey have been producing ample LIS papers, but the United States and United Kingdom emerged as leaders. This work provides a holistic view of Asian LIS development and emphasizes individual levels of collaboration, finding that most influential authors serve on coauthor networks, which differentiates this study from previous studies in the LIS field. EXPERIMENTAL VALIDATION AND CFD PREDICTION OF NATURAL CONVECTION IN A VERTICAL PIPE USING FLUENT 14.5 SOLVER
In this study, an experimental and CFD prediction of natural convection heat transfer in a vertical cylinder (pipe) is done by FLUENT 14.5 solver. Rosseland radiation model available in ANASYS CFD FLUENT 14.5 software will be investigate to find their usefulness for different parameters and cases as well as their limitation. Simulations will be performed with systematic parameterization to investigate the effect of changing models and parameters. Governing equations are solved using a finite volume method. The set up consist of brass cylinder with air as a working fluid. CFD results and experimental results are compared which validate the software result. The present analytical studies help to give best suitable material for free convection in a vertical cylinder
Multi scale context aware drug review sentiment analysis using pretrained med-BERT.de
A massive amount of drug-related data is available online in the form of reviews and comments. This data could be leveraged in analyzing the opinion and sentiments of users related to the drug. The written medical texts of patients and carers, in particular, have a considerable influence on how people, physicians, and drug developers regard drug users. Sentiment analysis approaches have grown from fundamental concepts to advanced methods of machine learning such as deep learning, which has emerged as a recent development in many NLP applications. The emergence of transformer-based models has revolutionized the field even further.. However, most of them have worked on the dataset from a single source with a limited number of rows and a general-purpose model for analysis, making them incapable of capturing the contextual meaning of medical terms used in the text. This defect affects the performance of the pharmaceutical recommendation system. Hence, this study proposes sentiment analysis of drug reviews using the medical domain-specific pre-trained transformer-based model medBERT.de. The proposed model achieved the highest F-score of 83%, a precision of 84% for optimal hyperparameter values of epochs=3, learning rate= 2e-5, batch size=32 and decay_weight= 0.1 , suggesting the model works fine in capturing the medical terms used in the dataset
Ensuring Security and Privacy in VANET: A Comprehensive Survey of Authentication Approaches
Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET) are revolutionizing intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and as a result, research on their security is becoming increasingly important. As the primary security concern for VANET, authentication security is still quite difficult to achieve. Consequently, the prior knowledge of VANET is covered in this survey before outlining the primary security concerns. To set itself apart from previous surveys, this study suggests security properties and challenges among VANET. Next, the essential and significant features of a secure VANET system, such as confidentiality and integrity of data, and the availability of network systems have been reported, the authenticity of nodes and messages, and the refusal to deny data once it has been transmitted is detailed. Later, it outlined the requirement of the ITS which makes the survey unique. More importantly, the report on the most recent developments in VANET concentrates on the authentication schemes that have been proposed recently. The security features and authentication resistance against attacks, along with the overhead and efficiency of these schemes, are thoroughly examined and contrasted. A detailed analysis of V2V, V2I, and V2X authentication is been reported. Various cryptographic schemes have been discussed along with some advanced techniques such as Blockchain and hybrid schemes. An overview of the integration of 5G/6G networks is documented. Applications of VANET have been discussed in detail along with some open challenges in VANET. In summary, this work reviews a few lessons learned and explores different possibilities for future research

Proposing a Novel Architecture of Script Component to Incorporate the Scripting Language Support in SCADA Systems
Part 5: Industrial Management and Other ApplicationsInternational audienceScripting language support in SCADA systems significantly enhances their flexibility in performing diverse industry automation functions. Although SCADA vendors do provide rich scripting support in their automation solutions, development and integration aspects of SCADA Script Component are rarely presented in the contemporary research literature. This paper proposes a novel architecture of Script Component in SCADA systems to perform miscellaneous industry automation functions through any scripting language of choice. This architecture is validated by implementing and integrating Script component in a large scale SCADA automation solution. Moreover, series of experiments are performed to validate the working of Script Component after its integration. Empirical results prove that Script Component is capable to perform various SCADA functions through JavaScript by providing enhanced flexibility and simplicity
