PECULIARITIES OF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE ON RAILWAY TRANSPORT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN
Peculiarities and problems of the development of corporate governance of the railway company of «Uzbekistan Temir Yo’llari» JSC in the current economic conditions are considered. The relevance of the chosen direction of research is determined by its high significance for the economic, political and geopolitical development of the railway transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Political and geopolitical interest is associated with a significant impact on the national economy, which is provided by the railway transport companies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as with the desire for the interaction of other enterprises in order to obtain additional competitive advantages. The author considers the theoretical issues of corporate governance development, as well as features of the development of railway companies in the Republic of Uzbekistan
Constant market shares analysis: uses, limitations and prospects
In this paper, we generalise the constant market shares (CMS) framework, with particular attention to the underlying theoretical conditions required for diagnostic interpretation. The approach is applied to the analysis of the export performance of the Australian processed food sector in South-East Asia over the period 1980–2003. We conclude that the usefulness of CMS analysis for evaluating a country’s international trade performance depends upon the empirical validity of the aggregation assumptions implicit in the diagnostic interpretation.aggregation, Armington model, competitiveness, constant market shares, Marketing,
The role of international law in regulating the relationship between the occupying state and the occupied land in the event of the occupation
The author of the article analyzes the legal regime of military occupation, paying attention to the role of international law in regulating the relationship between the occupying Power and the directly occupied territory. Special attention is paid to the assessment of the international legal framework regulating the rights of citizens of the territory that temporarily fell under the regime of military occupation. The article emphasizes that the main purpose of the implementation of the right of military occupation is to preserve the status quo in the occupied territories during the armed conflict in order to ensure the painless return of such territories to the relevant State in the future. As a concrete case, a brief analysis of the regime of occupation of Iraq is carried out.
Investigating the procedural and structural conception of algebraic expressions of seventh, eighth, ninth grades students
Background and Objective:Many international studies have been done in order to trace the intellectual path of students in manipulation with the concept of variables and algebraic expressions, as well as to examine and specify their functional problems. However, despite the importance of these two concepts, comprehensive research has not been conducted in the seventh, eighth and ninth grades in Iran, and research has often focused on how to manipulate and write algebraic expressions. Due to the change in Iran's mathematics curriculum in 2009 and the consequent change in mathematics textbooks, the need for a clear picture of students' understanding of these two concepts is doubled.Algebraic expressions are the important part of Algebra and its deep understanding is necessory for solving algebraic problems. The purpose of this study was to investigate grade 7th, 8th and 9th students' understanding of algebraic expressions. Methods: 400 students were selected by multistage cluster sampling from 7th , 8th and 9th grade students in Tehran. A researcher-made test was designed and implemented. Out of 400 students, 15 students were selected and semi-structured interviews were conducted in order to clarify and interpret students' perceptions. Findings:The results of the test and interviews showed that most students have a poor structural understanding of algebraic expressions and they have understood them merely procedurally. Increasing academic bases did not almost improve structural understanding, but procedural understanding improves with increasing levels. Conclusion:The results of this study showed that most students in algebraic expressions (simple and complex) have a purely procedural understanding, which means that they have understood algebraic expressions as a set of algorithms and processes. As it turned out from the interviews, these people, when it is necessary to perform an operation on the algebraic expression and consider the algebraic expression as a whole, only memorize the steps as a parrot because they have no understanding of the whole structure of the algebraic expression; and they focus only on the steps within an algebraic expression. In complex algebraic expressions, compared to simple algebraic expressions, the percentage of students who had a purely procedural understanding was reduced. The results of interviews with a number of students showed that this decrease was not due to an increase in students' structural understanding, but for reasons such as ignoring the distributive action, not understanding algebraic expressions, not understanding the process in complex algebraic expressions. ===================================================================================== COPYRIGHTS ©2019 The author(s). Study of the Interaction of Anthocyanins with Phenolic Aldehydes in a Model Wine Solution
Author Contributions: C.E. performed the analysis, collected test data, interpreted the results, and drafted the manuscript. A.M. designed the study and interpreted the results. F.Z. designed the study and interpreted the results. I.L. collected data and interpreted results. J.M.d.F. collected data and helped with interpretation of results. J.A.S.-L. helped with the interpretation of the results.Aldehydes may be present in wines as a result of metabolic processes during wine fermentation or through oxidation and extraction from wood during wine aging in oak barrels. Apart from acetaldehyde, the most abundant aldehyde in wine, other aldehydes such as furfural and more recently vanillin have shown to contribute to the formation of more stable pigments. The copigmentation effect of phenolic molecules, including flavanols and anthocyanins themselves, has been previously evaluated in wine and model solutions, and even the effect of aldehydes related to wine aging has been documented at different pHs and molar ratios. The copigmentation phenomenon is observed by hyperchromic effects and bathochromic shifts of λmax, and, in the same time, the presence of larger molecular weight pigments, potentially less susceptible to degradation, was followed up. This experimental work intended to evaluate the potential of five different aldehydes, all of which are safe for human consumption and are used in the food industry, to the formation of pyranoanthocyanin-like and polymeric pigments in the model solution.Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad (España)Depto. de Farmacia Galénica y Tecnología AlimentariaFac. de VeterinariaTRUEpu
Proceedings of the Royal Society for the month of October, 1888.
The usual monthly meeting of this Society was held at the Museum on Monday, the 8th October, the president (His Excellency, Sir Robert G. C. Hamilton, K.C.B.) in the chair. There was a large attendance of Fellows of the Society.Includes a list of additions to the Library during the months of August and September. The Secretary, Mr. Morton, read a letter from the curator of the Technological Museum, Sydney, respecting a cutting from the Pharmaceutical Journal to the effect that a M. Guilmeth had discovered in Tasmania a mammoth deposit of honey, the work of native bees, and asking for information as to the probabilities of the story contained in the paragraph, which spoke of M. Guilmeth having come upon a grove of gigantic Eucalyptus trees, from '260ft. to 390ft. high.Mr. W. F. Petterd, F.Z S., read a paper entitled "Contributions for a systematic catalogue of the aquatic shells of Tasmania”, in which the author expressed his intention, in a series of papers. In the absence of Mr. T. Stephens, F.G.S., Mr, Morton read some notes from that gentleman on the rare Eucalyptus cordata, which had been sent to the author by the Rev. C. J. Brammall from Nelson's Tier, where he found it growing abundantly over a range of from 6 to 10 miles from Sorell. This species of Eucalypt was noted in the transactions of the Royal Society for 1881, and had been described as named by Labillardiere in 1793.The Hon. W. H, Burgess, M.H.A., brought forward the question of an exhibition of pictures from the British Art Society in Tasmania. He wished for some help in inducing the Society of British Artists to send an exhibition of pictures, which were being sent to Sydney, to Tasmania after they left that city
