Sıcak Bölgelerdeki Seralarda Fan-Ped Sisteminin Etkinliğinin Belirlenmesi

    No full text

The effects of relativistic corrections on cosmological parameter estimations from Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect cluster surveys

Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect (SZE) cluster surveys are anticipated to yield tight constraints on cosmological parameters, such as the equation of state of dark energy. In this paper, we study the effect of relativistic corrections of the thermal SZE on the cluster number counts expected from a cosmological model and thus, assuming that other cosmological parameters are known to high accuracies, on the determination of the w-parameter and sigma(8) from an SZE cluster survey, where w = p/rho (with p the pressure and rho the density of dark energy) and sigma(8) is the rms of the extrapolated linear density fluctuation smoothed over 8 Mpc h(-1). For the purpose of illustrating the effects of relativistic corrections, our analyses mainly focus on nu = 353 GHz and S-lim = 30 mJy, where nu and S-lim are the observing frequency and the flux limit of a survey, respectively. These observing parameters are relevant to the Planck survey. It is found that from two measurable quantities, the total number of SZE clusters and the number of clusters with redshift z greater than or equal to 0: 5, sigma(8) and w can be determined to a level of +/-1% and +/-8%, respectively, with 1 sigma uncertainties from a survey of 10,000 deg(2). Relativistic effects are important in determining the central values of sigma(8) and w. If we choose the two quantities calculated relativistically from the flat cosmological model with sigma(8) = 0.8284 and w = -0.75 as input, the derived sigma(8) and w would be 0.819 and -0.81, respectively, if relativistic effects are wrongly neglected. The location of the resulting sigma(8) and w in the sigma(8)-w plane is outside the 3 sigma region around the real central sigma(8) and w.Astronomy & AstrophysicsSCI(E)0ARTICLE2713-71959

Doctor-family-patient relationship: The Chinese paradigm of informed consent

    No full text
Bioethics is a subject far removed from the Chinese, even from many Chinese medical students and medical professionals. In-depth interviews with eighteen physicians, patients, and family members provided a deeper understanding of bioethical practices in contemporary China, especially with regard to the doctor-patient relationship (DPR) and informed consent. The Chinese model of doctor-family-patient relationship (DFPR), instead of DPR, is taken to reflect Chinese Confucian cultural commitments. An examination of the history of Chinese culture and the profession of medicine in China is used to disclose the deep roots of these commitments. The author predicts that the DFPR model will further develop in China but that it will maintain its Chinese character.EthicsSocial Sciences, BiomedicalPubMedCPCI-SSH(ISSHP)SSCI4

Optimization of 3‑Pyrimidin-4-yl-oxazolidin-2-ones as Allosteric and Mutant Specific Inhibitors of IDH1

High throughput screening and subsequent hit validation identified 4-isopropyl-3-(2-((1-phenylethyl)amino)pyrimidin-4-yl)oxazolidin-2-one as a potent inhibitor of IDH1R132H. Synthesis of the four separate stereoisomers identified the (S,S)-diastereomer (IDH125, 1f) as the most potent isomer. This also showed reasonable cellular activity and excellent selectivity vs IDH1wt. Initial structure–activity relationship exploration identified the key tolerances and potential for optimization. X-ray crystallography identified a functionally relevant allosteric binding site amenable to inhibitors, which can penetrate the blood–brain barrier, and aided rational optimization. Potency improvement and modulation of the physicochemical properties identified (S,S)-oxazolidinone IDH889 (5x) with good exposure and 2-HG inhibitory activity in a mutant IDH1 xenograft mouse model

    Spin-Crossover in Supramolecular Iron(II)-2,6-bis(1 H-Pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine Complexes: Toward Spin-State Switchable Single-Molecule Junctions

Spin-crossover (SCO) active iron(II) complexes are an integral class of switchable and bistable molecular materials. Spin-state switching properties of the SCO complexes have been studied in the bulk and single-molecule levels to progress toward fabricating molecule-based switching and memory elements. Supramolecular SCO complexes featuring anchoring groups for metallic electrodes, for example, gold (Au), are ideal candidates to study spin-state switching at the single-molecule level. In this study, we report on the spin-state switching characteristics of supramolecular iron(II) complexes 1 and 2 composed of functional 4-([2,2′-bithiophen]-5-ylethynyl)-2,6-di(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine (L1) and 4-(2-(5-(5-hexylthiophen-2-yl)thiophen-2-yl)ethynyl)-2,6-di(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine (L2) ligands, respectively. Density functional theory (DFT) studies revealed stretching-induced spin-state switching in a molecular junction composed of complex 1, taken as a representative example, and gold electrodes. Single-molecule conductance traces revealed the unfavorable orientation of the complexes in the junctions to demonstrate the spin-state dependence of the conductance.QN/van der Zant La
