Head and thorax black, very shiny and polished, showing only fine punctuations; central area of propodeum punctate, as well as its two lateral portions above; mandibles brown; legs and abdomen ferruginous, provided with ferruginous hairs; wings dark with violaceous reflections (Saussure 1858). Male. Body length 16.3 mm; forewing length 12 mm; Structure.
