Blended learning in continuing education in medicine
The aim of this project is to realize a new multimedia interactive web system for digital learning that, using a different and innovative concept, can spread and aggregate the knowledge using different crucial component: 1) Professional knowledge: experts create contents to be disseminated over communication channels 2) Multichannel 3) Social web. This Interactive Multimedia Web System for Digital Learning will be tested and evaluated in permanent training course as in medicine (ECM) whit 10000 users. In these years, Pharmacy Profession has become the base with most nationwide spread for the professional updating of Italian pharmacist. From 2010, Medical Evidence will also offer its courses in Spain since the training schedule of Pharmacy Profession has been accredited nationwide by the Permanent Training Commission of the Health National System of Spain. These courses are executed remotely, requiring the only presence at the last lesson of the course. Completing the course, participants will receive credits for attending permanent medical training

Multimedia and Multichannel Interactive Systems for Knowledge Enhancement (MISKE).
The aim of this research is to analyze how the knowledge is actually shared and define how the digital communications can impact on social behaviour. Main goal is to realize a new interactive system that, using a different and innovative concept, can spread and aggregate the knowledge using different component: 1) Professional knowledge: experts create contents 2) Multichannel: users benefit by access in digital form Web, ITV, iPhone, smart-phone, podcast, iPad 3) Social web. What described here above could be realize developing a new generation of Social Knowledge Management System; this is an evolution of existing the CMS. The initial phase will investigate state-of-the art on scientific literature and will provide a benchmark for a prototype applications. This phase will establish the outcomes of the SKMS. The second phase will produce the statements of the key requirement. The third phase will consist of the development of system and will include the test using users
e-Teaching Assistant : A Social Intelligent Platform Supporting Teachers in the Collaborative Creation of Courses
With the ambition of providing teachers with a concrete tool for worldwide exploiting didactic contents to feature their courses, we face the problem of creating a social platform with adequate functionalities to satisfy the teacher expectations. Starting with a well designed architecture we endow it with three key functionalities that become the stakeholders of the emerging social network: 1) a quality system ensuring the value of the materials the users put in the platform repository as their contribution to the social business, 2) a recommender system based on computational intelligence techniques constituting the principal tool to guide teachers along the assembling of materials into courses, and 3) a gamification system, root of the no-profit business plan of the platform, to involve teachers in the social network. As a result we delineate an ecosystem where teachers exploit contents of a repository to which contribute by themselves. They are encouraged in exploiting and contributing because the contents are of high quality; they are wisely assisted in the exploration of the repository by platform services yet under their full control; and they are variously reworded by this involvement
An Interactive VideoJournal to complement Learning & Training
Young people seem to be more familiar with communication devices such as mobile phones, MP3, iPOD and YouTube rather than textbooks or eLearning supports. While students’ grades in the high-schools of the Lombardy Region averaged 60% insufficient marks in the first semester which ended in January 2008, this experiment involves an active role of past students, now freshmen, in the Digital Communication degree as Tutors in 13 high-schools to deliver additional teaching through an Interactive VideoJournal that’s accessible on mobile phones and WEB-TV. Explanations are made through videos uploaded to our LCAD University Research Laboratory WEBCEN server, while teaching support is a community effort involving teachers as well. Results achieved will be measured by reduced insufficient grades at the end of this Academic Year, in June. Financial support is provided by the students’ parents as an alternative to pay private teachers, while the VideoJournal technologic environment is a University research
