Author of a novel ( In the Name of the Father ) and a collection of short stories ( Idling ), he is also the editor of Intro, an annual journal of the best writing from college workshops around the country. In a nearly completed accompanying volume to In the Name of the Father, Ardizzone traces the route by which the character Vito Scaparelli reaches Vietnam. No full textSi ripercorre l'attività scientifica della compianta Collega Fabiola Ardizzone, dai suoi esordi come allieva della Cattedra di Archeologia Cristiana dell'Università di Palermo, all'attività di insegnamento e di ricerca sul campo in qualità di Professore Associato. Il contributo dato da Fabiola Ardizzone agli studi sulla Tarda Antichità e sul Medioevo siciliani hanno riguardato molteplici direttrici di ricerca: dall'identificazione di nuove classi ceramiche alle modalità di organizzazione delle aree funerarie, dai problemi di topografia urbana all'archeologia dei cimiteri e ai problemi della produzione e circolazione delle produzioni ceramiche.The paper traces the scientific activity of Fabiola Ardizzone, from her beginnings as a student of the Chair of Christian Archeology at the University of Palermo, to the teaching and field research as Associate Professor. No full textTony Ardizzone, former Director of Creative Writing at Old Dominion University from 1979-1987, now teaches at Indiana University. He is the author of two novels, In the Name of the Father, 1978, and Heart of the Order, 1986, which was awarded the 1985 Virginia Prize for Fiction and named by The National Sports Review as one of the ten best sports books of 1986. He has also published a collection of short stories, The Evening News, 1986, which won the Flannery O\u27Connor Award. His stories have been cited twice in Best American Short Stories and been given Prairie Schooner\u27s Lawrence Foundation Award and the Black Warrior Review Fiction Prize. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Associated Writing Programs

Inoltre, si è cercato di capire all'interno della topografia di Palermo cosa potesse esserci in quest'area fuori dalle mura, vicina alle sorgenti del fiume Papireto. Con molta probabilità quest'area della città, usata come cava di pietra, era la sede delle truppe musulmane: il Muasqar delle fonti scritte
