    Abstract . The goal of the NUMEN collaboration is the measurement of the cross sections of Double Charge Exchange reactions for several couple of ion projectile - target , in order to provide helpful data to study the nuclear matrix elements of the neutrino - le ss double β - decay. The need of big statistics and high precision in the measurements require the use of high intensity beams and very thin targets. This creates some problems to the design of the target frame and to the dissipation of the heat generated by the beam. The present paper reports a possible solution for the cooling system and the production technique of a tin target, together with the results of the preliminary tests of heat dissipation

    The study of the I = 1,0(++) states with the OBELIX detector in the channel --> (K+/-KS0) pi(-/+) at three different target densities is reported. We discuss in particular the results about a(0)(980) and the evidence of an extra scalar state with mass 1.29 +/- 0.01 GeV/c(2) and width 0.080 +/- 0.005 GeV/c(2).     La forte crescita degli scambi internazionali e degli investimenti esteri che si è manifestata negli ultimi due decenni ha dato vita a uno scenario profondamente diverso rispetto al passato, con assetti economici, dinamiche sociali e influenze culturali sempre più caratterizzate da connessioni e interdipendenze fra Paesi e aree geografiche. In questo quadro, le cui implicazioni ricadono entro il concetto, ormai ampiamente noto, di globalizzazione, potrebbe apparire superata la distinzione fra marketing per il contesto domestico e marketing internazionale. In realtà tale distinzione merita di essere conservata, non tanto a indicare differenze nei principi di base o nelle metodologie – che non cambiano – quanto per riconoscere, da una parte, le diverse condizioni in cui tali principi e metodologie trovano applicazione, dall’altra la maggiore incertezza e complessità che caratterizza il contesto di mercato, competitivo e ambientale di riferimento.     The phipi+/omegapi+ ratio from npBAR annihilations on a liquid hydrogen target, for nBAR momenta between 64 and 297 MeV/c, was measured using the OBELIX spectrometer at LEAR. The ratio R(phipi/omegapi) = sigma(npBAR --> phipi+)/sigma(npBAR --> omegapi+) turned out 0.110 +/- 0.015(stat) +/- 0.006syst. Implications of this result on the OZI rule are discussed.     A preliminary study of up three-prong annihilations into the channels K- K+ pi(+) and pi(-)pi(+)pi(+)pi(0) is presented for similar to 100-297 MeV/c ()overbarnmomenta.Theextractedphipi(+)/omegapi(+)productionratioshowsthatalsointhischannel,nevermeasuredbeforeusingan() over bar n momenta. The extracted phi pi(+)/omega pi(+) production ratio shows that also in this channel, never measured before using an () over bar n beam, the OZI rule is strongly violated.
