No full text4 September 2002. -- Victoria Lynn is a distinguished curator and writer who has worked in the field of contemporary and Australian visual arts over the last two decades. She has recently been appointed Director of Creative Development at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, an innovative exhibition venue located at Federation Square in Melbourne, due to open later this year. She is currently Chair of the Visual Arts/Crafts Board of the Australia Council. From 1991 to 2001 she was Curator of Contemporary Art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and the numerous exhibitions she has curated have received substantial critical acclaim. She is the author of many articles, catalogue essays and edited collections, and books on artists Marion Borgelt and Eugene Carchesio. Mapping the Discipline of the Olympic Games An Author-Cocitation Analysis
No full textThe authors conducted an author cocitation analysis on prominent authors writing about the Olympics during the 1990s. Author cocitation is an established bibliometric technique that can be used to measure the relative similarities of topics written about by the cited authors. This enables a visual representation of the “intellectual space” of the discipline, in this case the Olympics, to be created for the period under review. So core and peripheral research areas are identified, along with their major contributors. The representation appears as a two-dimensional cluster-enhanced map. Subject expertise was then applied to the results to place labels on the generated clusters of authors and their topics

Muro solar pasivo en viviendas construidas con quincha
No full textLas tecnologías de construcción de bajo costo han sido un tema de estudio constante en el Laboratorio de Ambiente Humano y Vivienda, enfatizándose en el análisis de las condiciones térmicas de las mismas. De esto resulta la revalorización de la quincha la cuál ofrece condiciones térmicas superiores a las que se utilizan en construcciones espontáneas de asentamientos de emergencia o zonas rurales. En el presente trabajo se presenta la posibilidad de utilizar un muro de quincha existente, al que se le incorporaron los elementos necesarios para transformarlo en un muro acumulador. Los ensayos sobre el muro se realizaron en tres etapas midiéndose temperaturas superficiales, por sus lados interior y exterior, en el basamento de ladrillo y el muro de quincha, ubicando sensores HOBO en la superficie del muro y tratando de mimetizar la termocupla con el color y textura del muro. El comportamiento térmico del muro ya transformado en acumulador alcanza un aumento de temperatura considerable con respecto al muro en su estado natural, si se realiza una primera confrontación entre resultados de temperaturas se manifiesta una diferencia cercana a 12ºC.Fil: Mercado, Maria Victoria. Reciclaje solar pasivo de una vivienda en el centro-oeste de argentina
No full textLa arquitectura sustentable implica trabajar con los edificios de manera de disminuir el impacto que los mismos producen sobre el medio ambiente, ya sea en la reducción de consumos o en la producción de energía. En este trabajo se presenta las implicancias de la incorporación de aislación térmica de muros a una vivienda que había sido proyectada con aprovechamiento de la energía solar, pero no había sido terminada por causas económicas. Con el paso del tiempo se ha incorporado dobles vidrios en ventanas y ahora la aislación térmica de muros. Estas pérdidas representaban el 60.1% de las pérdidas totales del edificio. Se presenta la tecnología utilizada y los resultados en cuanto al ahorro generado que alcanza el 33% del consumo anterior. Se presentan también la temperatura y humedad relativa interior registradas e incorporadas al diagrama bioclimático del lugar, separándolas en temperaturas diurnas y nocturnas.Fil: Esteves Miramont, Alfredo.
