She went to school up to 6th grade at Akademisches Gymnasium, and was for a short time a member of Makkabi Hatzair in Vienna. He fled from Vienna on 08/10/1939 to England where he was interned at Kitchener Camp until fall 1942. He came to Canada and then to the USA in 1948. He lived on Brunnengasse in the 16th Viennese district and was a member of Hanoar Hatzioni, a Zionist Youth Group. He fled from Vienna on November 3, 1938, to Holland where he stayed for three days, then he went on to the USA. He studied physics at New York City College from 1939 until 1947. In between, from 1943 untuil 1945, he had joined the US Army and served in the US Army Signal Corps in China, Burma, India and in the Philipines.     Paul David Berger was born in Vienna in 1922. He was a member of Macabi Hazair, and lived with his family at Stanislausgasse 5 in the 3rd Viennese district. Mr. Berger left Vienna in August 1938 and immigrated to Tel Aviv via Trieste, Athens, and Alexandria. He immigrated to the US in 1951. He was drafted by the British Army in May 1941, and discharged in 1946.
