478 p.This conference, on pollution of the navigable waters of Galveston Bay and its tributaries, is a continuation of the conference originally held in June of 1971. The conference covers the effects on interstate commerce caused by pollution of the shellfish beds in Galveston Bay as discussed in the previous conference. The purpose of the conference is to bring together the State water pollution control agency, representatives of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and other interested parties to review the existing situation and the progress which has been made, to lay a basis for future action by all parties concerned, and to give the State, localities, and industries an opportunity to take any indicated remedial action under State and local law. The June conference recessed to permit a technical committee representing the State of Texas and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to get together and try to come up with a report and some recommendations.http://gbic.tamug.edu/request.ht
